Try mentioning these people to someone who's 22, and they give the blank stare.  I'd hate to be here 40 years from now to have to say "for those of you who do not remember Lady Gaga" (not that I care!).

Rodney looked better here than he did on Larry King Live after brain surgery. He was still doing stand-up and he wrote this amazing book which I read in 2009. It took me 4 years to find his book. He is simply one of the funniest comedians who ever walked the planet. He opened the doors for other comics too. That to me was totally cool!!! His humor was so universal too. I Get No Respect can be used so many ways. I have so MUCH respect for Rodney Dangerfield!! RIP!!!!

Rodney was always awesome at his club in NYC. After he performed he would go to his apartment above the club, and return shortly wearing boxers and a t-shirt with an open robe and hang around joking with the people around the bar. Lots of laughs.

Oh yes, Klaus is sacred to me now, 1st time i heard about him was an article in 2005.

And really only tought of doing some research a few months ago. I was put under his spell the moment i saw and heard him and his music. Probably cuz im a fan of many people he directly influenced in the 80's new wave, new romantic but also cuz hes what i was always looking for and never found to the point where i was working all my life to be the next Nomi without even knowing of him!

I have his RCA LP from Germany, but only after first discovered him on the LP "Urgh A Music War" back in the early 80's then the video of same. I was at the Gang of Four show 3 years ago? in T.O. and there was a guy in the crowd wearing his image on the back of his jacket, and I said cool. That wasn't you was it? Strange that Godgotron looks the exact opposite of Klaus Nomi! In every way possible! Cheers!

I just bought his book today!! I've been laughing at Rodney's material for years but I was never able to find the book until today. All the stores were sold out and rightfully so, Bestseller as Rodney said. He's trully a living legend in the world of comedy and I miss him so much.
