senna, in schumchers place, in the same situation, after being panalized for things he wasnt In control about, and havingdominated, would have done the EXACT same thing. and this doesnt make senna a scumbag, it just makes him someone who does anything within his powers to win. i just want you senna nuthuggers to understand that schumacher isnt worse or better of a sportsman that senna was, they are both very competitive thats all.

So I dont blame him for that, even though he had been reportedly offered a Mclaren drive at the end of 96, not too many folk would have wanted to be Hakkinens team mate back then, not even Schumacker. @ikelleners Indeed, agree. And i also agree relating the, in my mind, Schueys false" smiles relating wining situations like this one, and even some declaration regarding Senna´s death for example. Althought being a great driver, I have no doubt in my mind that Schuey got an extreme relief knowing Senna was dead. Not saying he was happy, no one is, but relief in a sense that he knew no way in earth or in heavens he would beat that 94 Ayrton with the motivation and abilitie he still had.

With Senna gone, and knowing he was probably talented enought to beat all the other drivers on the grid (Mansell was gone, Prost was gone) it might had been possible for him to klinch the title, wich he did, in the faction we all know... :)

And he not wanted to be in same team as Senna xD He left Formula one cause of that.

I never liked Senna`s style, great qualifyer. But bad in ending races, and gambler...

Spins cars to often, does not drive clean laps...

Can say what we want, but Schumacher was kicking his butt in first races.....!

@ikelleners It is your opinion. I have to disagree when you say Schuey was kicking is ass in the first 3 races. What 3 races?! The first race we all saw what hapened ( Schuey overtoke with an eligal fuel rig), the next 2 races pure and simply put, there WAS no racing between them. Aida, we know what hapened, Imola, the same. The only term we can use to compare is qualyfying. Result? 3 -0 Senna wins. No way in well schuey would ever beat Senna. The brasilian was on a league of is own.

That 94 Williams was a mule. pure and simple. The only times we couldcompare the two, was in previous years, and Senna always went on top. It is simple, we just need to compare the overall perormances. Schuey was a great driver, but, in the likes (and not better) off Mansell, Gilles, Hamilton, Alonso; Vettel. He was the stats he has because he raced in an era without REAL oponents (Mika and Alonso apart), and (from 2000 on) with a Ferrari that pure and simply did not break.

Relating Senna´s inconsistency, he was so good he did not need to up its game to be more consisten. If he had to he would. He was doing that with the formencioned MULE from 94, keeping Schueys pace with an ilegal benetton. As for the broken engines. They all did break back then, they were pushed to race, not like today´s engines.

Hill was very dignified about the whole situation. He could very easily have gone round telling everyone how Michael cheated, which he did, and acted like a baby, but he didn't, and was very diplomatic about it all.

@paulrevere83 he might have cheated, but when you think how he dominated this season you can only come to the conclusion that schumacher deserved the title. although he got disqualified from 4 (!) races he was still in the lead before the australian grand prix. and then he ended it with a typical senna-move.
