Not really. Our view of reality isn't skewed. Cosplaying is just something a lot of people enjoy. It's a hobby. We get to interact with people who have the same interests as us and just play around and have fun.

If you don't enjoy it yourself, that's fine. But making a huge generalization about a subculture and assuming you're better than thousands of people just because of their hobbies is unrealistic and disgusting. Just live and let live. There's no reason at all to put others down.

Cause those type of cosplayers is the ones Im referring to, they make other ppl think that martial arts is a joke due to the various martial arts anime series (Naruto, Basilisk, etc.) Which I do enjoy watching btw. But I know ppl that have gotten into fights and pulled of a naruto stance for some reason or another and just been completely humiliated. so yeah...

Oh GOD no. That sort of idiocy has nothing to do with cosplaying. Yeah, many of those people DO cosplay, but I assure you that the majority of the cosplaying population is not that....stupid, for lack of a more subtle term. We just enjoy creating quality costumes we're proud of and showcasing them with other fans. Sort of like Halloween, but better.

And for the record, both of my parents studied Kenpo (so I grew up around martial arts) and I've taken Aikido for 4 years. I share your pain.

Aikido, nice its like ninjutsu except with less weapons focus and more gentle, flowing motions. Kenpo is good I guess, never personally studied it but I have friends that do it. I still prefer TKD and ninjutsu any day....you should investigate about ninjutsu in ur area, no lie lol it makes you feel like an ANBU, but not as epic w/ the whole jutsus and stuff..lol ^.^
