  • I just swirl the brush over the sifter and flip the jar upside down, that way I don't have any loose foundation in the lid :) and the brush is surprisingly good quality.

  • Nice video, thanks. Anyone ever tell you you resemble Ashley Judd?

  • why spf 19? why not just spf 20?

  • you remind me of Liv Tyler ♥

  • Loreal is not a good company at all in my opinion. They test their product on animals and that is animal abuse. Dont buy it, it kills animals.

  • i use to use this like about a yr ago to work and i use to work 10 hr shift and it would stay and it would give me good coverage...

  • Saw your videos and thought I would say hi!

  • is this foundation good for oily skin?

  • @brianna09marin yes, i bought it and i have super oily skin and its great :)

  • Is the foundation full coverage?

  • Does this product have bismuth in it?:o

  • @XXloverageXX yes it does contain bismuth oxychloride

  • how about the brush ? ..are the brushes bad quality ? and uhmm....does it really last all day ..or does it fade away ...i mean since its a powder soo ..it might not last that long!

  • @just4fun2152 they do last all day. I use the foundation and they are fantastic.

  • how about the brush ? ..are the brushes bad quality ?

  • @just4fun2152 noooo they r cool but a lil bit shimmery !!! u can definately check that out

  • i've been searching all over youtube and google for some GOOD judgement on this mineral foundation and @emilynoel83 is the only one i trust (:

  • mine has spf 15 :P thanks for this vid, there aren't many around and I needed to know how to apply this :)

  • okuritriyat com t r

  • which colour do you have?:)

  • I'm in grade eight and just starting to seriously use makeup on a daily basis and THIS foundation has gotten me started I absolutely love it!!! You honestly can't go wrong with this there is no way to mess up

  • It is a GREAT foundation but don't buy L'Oreal products everyone They Test On Animals ! Please Stop ! we LOVE animals < 3

  • I LOVE THIS FOUNDATION!

  • Your videos are very helpful! It is always good to see how others apply the same products. Thank you for your time!

  • WOW. The loreal mineral line made your face look flawless! you looked radiant, glowing, and dewy.

  • you remind me of Ashley Judd - very pretty.

  • its better if you take the sifter and drop some of the minreals in the cap and then dump that back into the sifter making you have more minreals and foundation. because i know that i cant just shake it and apply. i get no coverage whats so ever.

  • haha yeah right there's no coverage with that! It's pretty much just another powder to set your liquid!

  • is there a large color selection?

  • Loreal is one of the biggest companies that still test on animals! It's inhumane and ineffective. Please don't buy their products and support this abuse :(

  • @iceskater1 My god! Just practice your beliefs on your own and stop harassing people.

    xoxoxo

  • @MadMadamJess I'm spreading awareness about something that is unnecessary and unjust. Animal testing is banned in europe so i dont see why the states still are so inhumane. Many people are not aware this is still going on and that's why they support it.

Um... How is this harassing people?

  • @iceskater1 You're deluded, doll. I understand you have good intentions but what makes you think people aren't aware about this sort of thing? Not everyone feels the way you do. You're harassing people by posting over and over again on different videos stating your opinion regarding the issue..in turn, you are inadvertently putting down someone else's point of view. You cannot force your opinion on others..it just decreases your credibility and accomplishes nothing. State it once and move on.

  • @iceskater1 It is none of your business whether or not people buy Loreal. I use Loreal and it is great. You need to stop telling people not to buy their products. We can all buy whatever makeup brands we want.

  • @makeupisgreat12 It's your decision what you buy. Just know where the makeup comes from.

  • Comment removed

  • @iceskater1 ITS NOT THE COMPANY, ITS THE THIRD PARTY. FUCKIN PETA OVER DRAMATIC.

  • @redsugar18whitney I have nothing to do with peta. Sometimes they are just annoying. I'm talking about something that I think is unjust. Google "cosmetic animal testing" and you'll see what I mean.

  • Nice video! :D Oh and you look like sandra bullock alto.

  • Very nice and informative video =) I have been looking for easy makeup tips, not ones that take 20 minutes every morning. As an engineering student, I value my sleep more than putting on make-up in the morning haha! So thank you!

  • I love the Naturale all over mineral glow and use it as my everyday blush but the rest of this line is awful! when I tried the bare naturale foundation I felt like I didn't even look like I had foundation, might as well just use powder because your gonna get about the same amount of coverage!

  • I actually use a brush like the one on the concealer to put the regular powder on around my eyes..it works really well.

  • the powder sticks on my face and i cant spread it with any number of brush strokes....i just cant even it out, is there a way i can do sumthing.

  • the powder sticks on my face and i cant spread it with any number of brush strokes....i just cant even it out, is there a way i can do sumthing.

  • What the hell happened to your eyebrows? It looks like your constantly surprised.

  • I haven't a clue how I ended up on your video....but I actually watched it from beginning to end.....hehehehe! I guess I was curious what on earth you ladies do with all this stuff called makeup! :)) You're a great teacher, and you have a sweet voice....:)) Take care....David

  • Your skin is amazingly clear! you really don't even need make up. Lucky girl!

  • @karakar1 Well, the camera and lighting can make most skin look clear and flawless, if you recorded with a non-high quality camera and not the best lighting, I'm sure your skin would be flawless, too.

  • how do you find the right shade in minerallsss???? i know how to for liquid but...how do you do it for mineralss???

  • Glad I ran into this video. I bough all of the products in that line a few months ago but i wasn't sure what to do with that glow thing. The shimmer makes me a little nervous.... very sparkly lol

  • do you suggest this product for dry skin?

  • My friend has this and she LOVES it.

I'm going to buy it soon because she said it goes on REALLY smooth.

I'll probably make a review too (btw check out my channel. I just started making videos on makeup and stuff [yes I'm a boy])

  • Hi Emily! I bought this foundation because of your awesome tutorial. I love it! Thanks!

  • I agree, mineral makeup is more forgiving for those beginners not sure of how to use it. Thank you for a great tutorial.

  • you put an awful lot under your eyes.

  • hey emily, great video! but i have a few questions for you. i really want to start using this foundation but was wondering if i could use that mousse concealer that you used on my acne? or should i buy the mineral concealer with it? i'm not sure if that would cake up or not. also, would i be able to use a gel or cream base before aapplying the mineral foundation? thanks! :D

  • you must be very rich, you got tones and tones of makeup

  • ooohhh your skin is so clean

  • if someone knows what colors are yellow undertone please let me know!!

  • ur skin is so pretty! (:

  • dont all those powders on your face make it look extremely cakey? o_o

  • Ya I have the same concealer, but I don't like it that much, because... it's really cakey and just doesn't spread as well. If you do use the powder concealer use a different concealer brush

  • is foundation not good for teens? im 17 and i've been using foundation coz it gives good coverage but lately i've been thinking about how this could affect my skin in the future. i wanna know what you think. please help out. thanks :)

  • @ilhubyooh i am 17 too...i never used to wear face makeup only eye makeup when i started heavy foundation (revlon colorstay/MAC) i started breaking out ALOT....my mum is 40 but she looks 55 because shes been wearing makeup since she was 17...Makeup has a BIG affect on your skin invest in a good mineral foundation(like this one or MAC minerlize makeup) Also watch your moisturizer there are alot of chemicals i use yes to carrots 97? natural its realy good and if you want liquid makeup use almay

  • @ilhubyooh almay the natural one you can find it in drug stores...useally what i do is i wear the netrogena sheer touch sunscreen in spf 30(if you go more than spf 30 theres too much chemicals) then i wear the almay natural makeup thingy thats a liquid base its 97% natural ingridients then i wear the this on top of that as a setting powder...eyeshadows dont really matter you can even get it from the dollar store but dont mess around with your face its to precious.

  • Can you please tell me if you see any change with the finishing powder? I just bought one but managed to do without it for a while before... what's your opinion?

    thanks

  • loreal are testing on animals!

  • After watching all your foundation videos thus far, I swear you could put anything on your face and have it look flawless. You have gorgeous skin. Well, you are simply gorgeous regardless.

I wsh I would have given my skin the proper attention it needed when I was younger rather than tanning all the time and sleeping with makeup on (worst thing ever...). What is that saying? "A stitch in time saves nine!?" Definitely.

  • How much does this cost?

  • @bonzs7 In canada its around 19 dollars but we have alot of tax and stuff so in US its probably cheaper.

  • how would you compare this with the maybelline mineral power foundation (the mineral one)?

  • Just bought this, and it was NOT working for me. So thank you so much for this!

  • I dont know why but in this video you remind me of liv tyler.....

  • haha so trueee:)

  • @LiquidmemOirs I agree! With full makeup she also reminds me of Ashley Judd!

  • @LiquidmemOirs omg i so agree!!!

  • @LiquidmemOirs

she reminds me of ashley judd :)

  • i already commented on here...but i have to mention i have bought this 3 times..but lately its been soooo messy. im getting mad

  • Good info :)

    cute face @ 4:30 xP

  • I have the Loreal True match mineral foundation & I think its pretty good for a natural look. But the only problem is that the brush is kinda rough. I usually use it with another brush though.

  • i always admire your reviews

  • uh what

  • I too love mineral make up..

  • Could you post a list of all the products used, it was hard to follow along.

  • Thanks for the tips!

  • this was so helpful. i was thinking of getting this. does it settle into lines. would it be good for someone like me who is 32 and oily skin. they have milani makeu out in canada but not the blush i dont think

  • i like this foundation. janiekendle it doesnt settle into lines for me but im 20 if that matters. and i think it can get oily feeling...thats one problem for me..but i guess if you apply a powder over all day it wont. or maybe it was just for me...idk. the thing is though i dont have oily skin...but yeah hope i helped a wee bit (:

  • For some reason when i bought this product and first started trying it out i thought there were holes situated underneath the brush to release the product through onto the top of the bristles and i am kinda dissapointed it isnt made that way i think it is a little time consuming to remove the cap then the brush (in which i wish was a bit bigger )and tap it into the minerals also finding your skin has to be hydrated or the dryness in your skin is very noticable.

  • how well does that maybelline concealer work? can you do a review ? cuz from what i can tell, it looks like it works good.

  • I have a tip for you about this foundation. My skin is super crazy sensitive and this is one of the few foundations that I can use... Even some non-talc items break me out.. If you apply a moisturizer and then go right onto it with the foundation, you get amazing coverage. Sometimes i dont even need concealer on my bright red acne. I feel the foundation stays on longer as well. It gives it something to stick to. I also feel like that feels lighter on my skin as well.

  • plzzzzzzzz help me L'Oreal true match foundation is good or not ...plzzzz help me

  • you are so pretty and your video ist very nice I like your videos so much

  • I will defiantly get this for my next travel :)

  • i happen to have the entire line of the bare naturale products, and i find that when i use the foundation and concealer... its better to apply the foundation first and then use the concealer where needed simply because considering the fact that they are both powder base products, when i apply the concealer first and then the powder the powder sort of brushes off the concealer. so i just cover my face with foundation first, then go over it with the concealer.

  • She reminds me of Sandra Bullock th actress.. she's reli pretty and like the vid quite helpful (Y)

  • Gcaruana92 - wow, I was just going to say the same thing! She looks exactly like Sandra Bullock at certain angles. Really pretty.

I have the mineral powder myself - I love it! It gives me so much confidence when I go to my classes; I don't sleep well and it covers my undereye circles really nicely!

  • i get free sample makeup from "gratismakeupsamples" - You can get perfect makeup from Olay, without spending a penny :) Check them out.

  • why does everyone on youtube that does foundation videos look good to begin with. doesnt tell me anything about coverage

  • i poured mine into my empty bare minerals container and used it the way you would bare minerals. it is alot easier to use( for me any ways) than to put that brush into the little sifter thing and shanking. i love it. when you don't have enough money to replenish your bare minerals supply, this is a great stand in until you can. I love these vids!!!

  • Ok, now I know how to get the L'oreal mineral foundation out lol, thanks!!

  • hahah i was having problems with that too, and now i feel like it was sort of obvious :P

  • you have gorgeous cheeckbones !!

  • do you need the LBN powder after the foundation part? or is the powder not necessary ?? bc i usually use both.

  • You said that you didn't really like the coverage that the Loreal concealer had and I was wondering if it would be alright to use Mayballines Mineral Power concealer and the Loreal Bare naturale Foundation Powder?? Or is it best to stick with the concealer and foundation being from the same brand?

    Thank You! And Great video!!!

  • just an extra little tip..This is the first and only foundation that I have ever used and I have recently started pouring a little out on a pretty saucer then putting my brush in that instead of going straight into the container. I messed up on of my brushes because it was bigger than the opening so the bristles around the edges got all broken and rough.

  • does the finishing powder actually do much?

  • It helps the foundation stay on longer and make it more transfer resistant.

  • i just bought the bare mineral foundation..i can't get the damn thing opened lol any help? I unscrewed the brush off and its just idk lol...

  • I love the bare naturale foundation. Loreal puts in a lot of the foundation too :) they're generous

thanks for the help with it! :D

  • love love your videos thank you for making them keep up the great work :)

  • you look like ashley judd in your eyes and mouth....but you probably hear that all the time! i love the videos though.

  • you look like a teenager without makeup on, you know?

  • how do you clean the brushes on the top?

  • is the brush that comes on the mineral foundation soft and is it a good brush?

  • @xolovexpinkxo the brush is horrible, very hard and stiff i actually think it hurts on spots where the skin is very thin!!!

  • @xolovexpinkxo most of the brushes that come with the foundation(from my experience on most drugstore makeup) are rather stiff and they poke my face. Some will feel very soft for the first time, but usually after a couple washes or uses, I end up throwing them out. I recommend using separate brushes...like ECOTOOLS(THE BEST BRUSHES EVER)

  • @xolovexpinkxo No it's actually pretty hard and scratchy.

  • @xolovexpinkxo have the same founation. The brush is really good, its very soft. The hairs aren't falling out like a cheap brush would. Its a very good brush.

  • @xolovexpinkxo I have the same founation. The brush is really good, its very soft. The hairs aren't falling out like a cheap brush would. Its a very good brush.

  • @xolovexpinkxo When I first got it, the brush was really rough but I bought it again recently and they changed it to a very soft one..which I love now!

  • @xolovexpinkxo i think it's soft at first, but after a few times it irritates my skin and i don't have sensitive skin. You should wash it like every other brush... but i prefer using a seperate kabuki cause they're much softer :) The foundation is amazing though :)

  • Have you used Max factor yourself? Has it ever occurred to you that not everyone intensely cares about ingredients?

It's great that you care about what's in your makeup but if you haven't even tried a certain product you really have no place telling people not to use it. If you've used the particular brand Max Factor and you don't like it, say whatever you want about it. But since you're basing Max Factors' ability as a makeup, based on ingredients I highly doubt you've even given it a chance.

  • you have good skin without makeup

    i wish i did

  • I thought this was bad... Until I got a good brush (ELF Total Face Brush). :-)

  • thanks for the video! :) I also use L'Oreal mineral foundation. I was wondering what your comments are on using L'Oreal foundation and then using a different kind of blush which isn't made of minerals. Like creamy blush? I've never actually used creme blush myself, so I was just wondering if it was possible to get that kind of "glowy" look over your cheek bones?.. tnx :)

  • it's really good to apply the creme blush before the mineral foundation, that way it won't get caky, just apply the blush a bit more heavily and then the foundation on top :)

  • I love this makeup! And you can find it just about anywhere!

  • The Max factor natural mineral fodation is much better than loreal!

It's almost as god ass id powder i'll really reccomend it!

  • Were can u find the Max factor nuteral mineral foundation????

  • L'oreal minerals are awsome. I personally use L'oreal true match foundation C3 , and i use L'oreal mineral true match powder N3 , they are great !!

  • Hey, thank you very much for this video. I'm about to finish my liquid foundation, but I will definately get this mineral one. Great job.

  • So I noticed that you have applied all these products on your eye area also, do you need to apply eyeshadow primer on top of all this?

  • I think she said on another vidoe that you use the powder to set the concealer and foundation and then on top of that you can apply an eyeshadow primer like Urban Decay or w/e you have.

  • Thanks...

  • Thanks ~

  • wrong

  • Thank you soo much!

I actually *just* got back from the store,

and found you/this in my search for how to apply this makeup!!

    I've always used liquid foundation,

    and was skeptical about minerals,

but I am seriously in love with this makeup now!!

  • Do you have tips to choose the foundation shade???

  • no one's put at that way before. Thank you so much. SO MUCH!

  • I just got this foundation,I really like it but after a while it makes my face look a little oily, do you have any suggestions?

  • I have oily skin too and the same thing happened to me, so I went back to the store and got the mineral finish. It helped a lot. I love this foundation but the brush is awful.

  • thanks so much for posting this, now i know more about the l'oreal minerals line, i'm gonna go out and buy this. :)

  • Thanks 4 the video! I don't get the last step, what is the "finishing powder" for?

  • hey just a quick suggestion is for putting the consealer around your eyes (when your using your hands) is to only use your ring finger and go from outter to inner corners instead of using your pointer finger and going from inner to outer corners, because the skin on you ring finger is softer and when your going outter to inner corner it helps a tiny bit of wrinkle prevention,

also to day i just got the loreal bare naturale foundation and its amazing! and your video was great!

  • i lovee loreal!

    thnks for the tutorial

  • u have great skin.iv tried the loreal but the lightest isnt light enough for my fair irish skin.its impossible to get a light mineral color.i also found that that loreal brush was too hard and course. is it possible to add talc to the powder to lighten the color of the mineral powder?anyone tried that?

  • I don't know if it'll lighten the color but it will defeat some of the purpose of using minerals. Talc can cause breakouts, both acne and allergy. So you might fix one problem while fixing another.

What are you trying to correct? Some issues can be taken care of with skin care products and home remedies. Sometimes makeup isn't the best answer. Fun, but not the best.

  • nooo not talc

    talc sucks

it can give you cancer at the worst

but at the least it gives you dry flaky skin, acne, breakouts

  • i have this product and i like it but the only thing i dont like is that the minerals aren't very finely grained. you can see chunks, and sometimes it makes my skin look cakey. (plus it's a little messy). but a tip: when i see those big chunks mash them up and crush them and it gets a little better.

  • The "cakey" issue that you may have may be caused by over applying. (not accusing you of any thing)

  • and u def need to make sure u moisturize especially wit the powders..i apply mine and let it sit for 3-5 mins before i do anything .. and then i reevaluate if my skin needs more. then i apply my makeup :) hope dat helps :)

  • hi ashley (or whoever wants to respond to me) i was wondering , i have the maybelline mineral makeup and i was curious about the loreal so mm which one do you find to apply more coverage, because i hace oily sensitive acne skin.

  • a lot of people complain about it and say it doesn't blend, but i've been wearing it for like a year and i love it!

  • i don't like the mineral foundations, there not the same as liquid foundations if u have bad skin

  • ok so i only have the concealer, foundation and finishing powder. Is that ok? Do i have to have all of the different kinds? Is it good to have a bronzer?

  • hello plz send the detail your product all minerals...its really fantastic..

  • oh my god ur so pretty u dont even need to put makeup on, seriously whatz the point of putting all that foundation is ur face looks already fresh and natural beautiful.!!!

  • wow, i have the same concealer, foundation and mineral finish, and i have no idea on how to use it until i saw your tutorial.. thanks a lot...

  • do you have any idea what the finishing minerals are for? I mean, I'm going to buy a true match mineral foundation. So what is the "glow" for? What is the "finishing powder" for? Thank you!

  • the glow depending on the color can add iridescence be a soft blush or bronzer :) the finishing powder sets it and is supposed to help set and keep your foundation on longer

  • Thanks! ;-)

  • Im kinda blotchy and discolored idk why haha Im weird but ive always used liquid stuff cause thats the only thing that that covers all my weirdness haha and I have a very limited budget and I check out all this stuff but its like $11 a thing :( What do you recomend me to do i just use the rimmel london primer, covergirl clean liquid foundation, and nyc smooth skin loose face powder. Thanks! I love you tuts your really pretty!

  • It's hard to tell how well the product is working since your skin is practically perfect but this video has helped me because I have never worn makeup before so this really helps. Thanks!

  • Great job! I think you look like Ashley Judd - a very beautiful young woman, by the way! Thanks for the tips on how to use the L'Oreal Bare Naturale make-up. I've seen other video clips on this product but you've opened my eyes to how to use them another way! Thanks for that!

  • you look like sandra bullock! :P

  • i love this powder foundation, the coverage is really good, i've since stopped using it in favour of smashbox hd, but if you are interested in trying out a mineral make up this one is great

  • ??? do u get the finishing mineral powder in the same shade as the foundation

  • For some reason this loreal` mineral

makeup makes my skin really oily. I

mean it looks great when I apply it

and hours later my face looks super OILY!

  • how much are they

  • i was thinking about getting this until i found that it has talc...talking about naturale. there's nothing natural about talc.
