Georgia tech played a bunch of pussies that year thats why they were 11-1, while the buffs beat Nebraska, Standford, Tennessee, Washington, Texas, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, all of which were ranked teams and still finished 11-1-1. There's no arguement, the buffs played in what was the best conference in the country at the time.
@MrTatertot89 How many lies can you fit in one post there shit dick? 1) Georgia Tech was 11-0-1, not 11-1 2) CU didn't beat Tennessee, the TIED them. 3)Stanford wasn't ranked 4) Georgia Tech beat 3 ranked opponents..You also failed to mention CU needing 5 downs to "beat" unranked Mizzou and a horseshit clip to "beat" the Irish..They really should have been
9-3-1 ..So basically everything you said is false, and thus, YOU ARE DISMISSED.
Mizzou fans are pathetic. Colorado spiked the ball on 3rd down and won the game on 4th down. They had the toughest schedule in 1990 and won the title. Have fun in Conference USA while the Buffs play in Cali!
@Irishdave76 you're a moron. look at CU's schedule and then look at GT's. No comparison. CU was 10x better than GT, no question, that's why CU is considered the real national champions.
@adgw1423 CU is considered the "real national champions" by who? ByYou?? CU lost a game, tied a game, was given 5 downs against Mizzou (and Charles Johnson didn't even get in on 5th down), and had a bullshit clip called on the Rocket return in the orange bowl. GT had no losses... CU's "championship" is the single most fraudulant championship in the history of college sports.
@getyoasshome Hey you think nebraska is so great. They didn't even win the North division of the Big 12 and Colorado destroyed them 62-36 and yet...they go to play for the national championship? Whatever. Oregon got screwed that time.
CU's "championship" in 1990 was the lamest. 5th down at Mizzou, and got lucky to tie a superior GA Tech for the title. Really nothing to be all that proud of, Buffies.
CU would have never spiked (downed) the ball on 4th down. Since the down marker registered "3", they spiked it on what they thought was third down, only to run the winning play on their next down. The fact that you are too stupid to realize what I have just described concerns me, not only about you, but it illustrates why China is slowly kicking our DUMB ass.
I agree the down marker said '3' but the tape CLEARLY shows that CU needed 5 downs to score, regardless of what the down marker indicated. 3 things are irrefutable: 1) the buffs needed 5 downs to score 2) 5 downs are illegal and 3) the buffs deserved to lose that game. For all those reasons, PLUS the phantom clip vs ND, CU's Nat'l title is flawed.
They only needed 4 downs to score. Had the down marker been correct, they don't spike the ball on 4th (which they thought was 3rd-according to the down marker). What team would ever spike the ball on 4th down? All they would have done is run the same play and gotten into the endzone and won the game just like they did anyway.
Use your brain and think about it.
BTW, the clip was right into the back of the guy who was about to tackle Ismail. Watch it again.
OK man, you win. I'm tired of arguing with a near-sighted numbskull. You have to be the most myopic fan in the world to think that CU deserved even 1/2 of the Natty that year. You're arguments are nothing but excuses, not based in any facts. But whatever. You win. Now leave me the fuck alone.

didn't colorado get a 5th down or something in a game that helped them win? I think they had a loss that year, plus the loss that should have come from the 5th down game.
@whoopdiddydo dude its not the buffs fault the refs said it was third down on fourth down. they spiked the ball because the down marker said 3. and they did this all with their back up qb. go buffs
Look at all the haters. They STILL cant accept the fact that Colorado was the best team in the country that year. Colorado played the toughest schedule in the land (i dare someone to dispute that) and came out on top by beating the second best team in the country.
@NextStep21 nobody gives a fuck it was 20 years ago.....has colorado football existed since then? no...last i saw them they were getting punished every week and firing coaches left and right...keep living in the past.

@getyoasshome Wow you have 6 comments on a video with a total of only 15 comments...What does that tell me about you? You have nothing better to do because you probably live in Nebraska and try to convince people no one cares about CU...except it looks like you have great interest in them.
@NextStep21 how many of them are responses? i have 1 initial post you big ass idiot....uh no i dont live in nebraska and im not a NU fan and if i was....NU OWN YOU.....colorado football has been in the grave for 20 years....you joined the pac 10 to get buried even deeper.
@getyoasshome oh okay what is the difference between responses and comments....their all the same. I dont think you have your facts straight when you say colorado is in the grave. Since 1990, we have had 1 National Championship, 2 Big 8 Championships, 1 Big 12 Championship, 4 Division championships, and 1 Hiesman Trophy winner. If you think that is in the "grave" than you dont know college football.
@NextStep21 uh YOUR PROGRAM IS IN THE GRAVE!!!! are you seriously talking about 3 conference titles in 20 YEARS!!!!??? really? no fuckin really? this is how you know you're dead...WHEN YOU ARE COUNTING DIVISION TITLES!!! you have half a title and some meaningless division titles...an alive program shows up every 5 years....YOURS DONT!! you dont even have another title APPEARANCE since 1990 LOL!! YOU ARE LIVING IN AN ILLUSION. have fun with that half a title and doing nothing since 1990 ha ha.
@porkolicious Colorado beat Washington, finished 5th, Notre Dame 6, Tied tennessee, 8th, beat texas, 13, Oklahoma 17, and Nebraska 24. Four of those teams were not even in colorado's conference. When would you ever see any team in the nation put together a schedule like this today. you wont. every team gets lucky breaks, texas last year against Neb, Alabama got lucky on a fieldgoal block. It happens. this was a legit national champion. Btw, only team georgia tech beat in the top 25, Auburn 19
@getyoasshome Your obviously lack the capability to do research. Georgia Tech tied North Carolina which finished 6-4-1. And you are blaming colorado because of something that was completely out of their control. They would have ran different plays if the officials didnt give them a second first down.
@shaybird45 no they wouldnt have because THEY THOUGHT IT WAS 4TH DOWN YOU MORON! they knew they were getting an extra play the players said it and the coaches said it. charles johnson even said he thought it was a turnover on downs. the only people that didnt know was the mizzou coach and the refs. they were an option team so what else would they run on the 1 yard line smart guy? a team with a tie should not get shit.
@shaybird45 also GT didnt even play in a major bowl game. their so called national title is on the same line as BYU's "title" they played a mediocre nebraska team in the gator bowl. 1990 is known more for miami embarrassing texas in the cotton bowl than whatever colorado did....that program is dead anyways so who cares and that was 20 years ago.
The guy who got "clipped" had abut as much chance of tackling the Rocket as you would have. A tie, a 5th down and a bullshit clip penalty. Congrats on the half a loaf. Go Toledo!!
Hey dumbass, how many teams in college football history have won the national title by beating the Pac 10 champs (Washington), beating the SWC champs (Texas), tying the SEC champs (Tennessee), and beating the Big 8 runner up (Nebraska) in the same season? Colorado had just as much impressive moments in this season as lucky breaks. How about telling me one team that has never gotten "lucky" breaks in a championship run. Nebraska's 1/2 NC in 97 was helped by a illegally kicked ball.
how did colorado become so bad?
