This song has the same melody as Micheal Jackson's Billie Jean produced by Quincy Jones, this song is more rigid and doesnt flow as well as billie jean hence while the latter is better. The same riff can be heard in Madonna's "dress you up" another hit single. Nowadays if any song sounds remotely like another you get sued, why quincy never confronted these gimmick artist stealing his riffs ill never know.

It happens, and sometimes its very subconscious. But you can't sue unless the song is exactly the same and every is claiming it is. Madonna didn't sue Lady Gaga for Born This Way, but she shoulda.

The late 80s actually had plenty of gangsta rap emerging in the form of NWA and Public Enemy that was all about busting caps in people, screwing chicks and calling women bitches and hos. The heavy metal of the time was even worse. Ozzy Osbourne was all about pissing off white America. Some of the more mainstream stuff was tame in comparison to the 90s and 00s, but really the 80s were no better then today.
