  • what’s this song’s name?

  • @lvmeile My House is Green - it's from Thomas' Soul and Pepper album

  • got v6 icon. No problems with tuning, stays perfectly in tune all the performance, while using vibrato with some dive bombs. You just have to set up the height of the block with 6 screws for floating one, and regulate the spring tension according to the strings feedback. Had no problems with tuning at all with any guitar when started with a Vintage brand.

  • I have had so many real strats, Japanese, Mexican, vintage USA, reissues, they dont come close to my JHS Thomas Blug signature. It stays in tune so well, you wouldn't believe it. Some how, it just sings. Maybe I got lucky, but it's more likely that Thomas and Trev Willkinson have taken a strat and improved all the little niggles.

  • The strings needed bedding in, but these guitars are truly world class.

  • buying one of these babies early 2011, are they a limited edition or will they be available to buy for the forseeable future?

  • @BostonWidowers no they are an ongoing stock item. Thanks for watching :-)

  • Poor Thomas :( Great effort on the cover up of the wonky tuning though, that's what you call a real pro guitarist.

  • I have one of these guitars I find it amazing stays in tune not problem even after heavy whammy bar use .

  • Needs a tremolo lock.

  • Fantastic! My stepson has the v6 and I have the icon pastorious bass! Go and try 'em!

  • You are talking that this guitar gets out of tune very soon. Would it help if you would replace the mechanics?

  • @MartyMartin87 I can assure you that there is no problem with the guitars machine heads, and it already has locking tuners. The problem on this vid was that Thomas just picked it up straight out of the box and the strings hadn't been bedded in.

  • (sigh) Yeah, the strings needed breaking in a bit more. This was the first time Thomas had played it, practically out of the box.

  • Saw this guitar today in local music store, each one is a bit different!

  • Was going to order a V6 Relic Laguna and just looked at the JHS site and saw this. Checked out the specs, the options, etc....now ordered one. :) I have an Vintage Lemon Drop and people who didn't know about think it's worth thousands due to the sound I can get from it. £130 on EBay.... :)

  • The Lemon Drop also beats the hell out of my, now sold, 28 year Les Paul Std.

  • Damn! I wish knew of this guitar before I got my Strat (great guitar though, especially with the Tonerider City Limits pup set :P) I hear it's available in Canada, if anyone can tell me please msg me.

  • Contact MIDC in Canada, they are the distributors.

  • Thoroughly enjoyable! Loving how he manges to keep playing in tune. Great player, and great guitar too it seems!

I'll be getting one of these babies soon (the V6, not Blurg!) and eventually maybe install some lock tuners. This model's really got some good mojo goin.

  • good what a suffering in the last minute!!! the guitar was absolutely out of tune but Thomas did the best to sound in tune. only a great player can do that. My favourite!!!!

  • anyone know what the backing track was?

  • It's his song "My house is green" from his last album.

  • I have one of these guitars i love it can coax any sound I need out of it .CHECK ONE OUT !!!!!!!!!

  • Do you really think that any Strat needs that PERFECT tune to sound good?

I don`t think so it`s the imperfectness in playing strats oder teles what make they sound so soulfull. Look at the Vid in which Thomas talks with Trev Wilkinson about the things that make him love his strats for decades...he finds the sweetspot no matter if the guitar is in perfect tune or not...it still sounds AWESOME when he plays.....I am proud that the european strat player comes from the same country as I do :-)

  • Nice tone, but its tuning doesnt sound very stable.

  • Yeah, the strings needed breaking in a bit more. This was the first time Thomas had played it, practically out of the box.

  • aaah the last minute is like an insult to thomas' playing... either its the tuners or the strings

  • Has this got different pickups fitted to it or are they the same as the vintage v6?

  • Check out the new youtube vid where Trev and Thomas discuss the design and build of his signature guitar.

  • I think they are the same pickups but the stock bridge has a stacked coil with no magnets to reduce hum which can be activated with a push pull switch

  • Very Pink Floyd feel to it. Nice.

  • Vintage make nice guitars and the V6 has a great neck only let down by rough fret edges, I wonder if this one is any better?

  • i noticed his guitar on the website , sounds pretty good , Geoffs is still my fav
