A comet coolingsystem failing. Im not suprised. No one should fly them since there so deadly even on the ground. On and the rocket made it look like it was on fire

The Z-stoff and T-stoff lines actually went under the pilot and would instantly catch fire if there was any leak. This is no doubt what happened as there was a fire in the canopy before the crash. There pilot, of course, did not survive.

I guess that no one else in all this time has seen that in the slo-mo part of the rec at 0.20 a part of the plane flew off from the looks of it, it seems to come off of the left elevon. Maybe a linkage failed ? Or, maybe something blew out that side from the engine?

@GerbilEssences It had set its self by the looks of things, coz if it was a jet engine, they dont normaly smoke for that long, even if there was a bubble in the pipe line. also the fire ball when it crashed was a little bit too big to be caused by the model braking appart... at least thats how it looks to me.

That's true. I heard that issue was with cooling of electronic system and it was start burning after few minutes of flight. After that pilot lost control over his plane and crashed :( .

It was only model (with jet engine). But it was realy expensive and owner spent few years to get it fly. Take-off was amazing too. Like real (with dropping gear).

The ME 163 is a tricky püplane to fly. Thats what the few pilots said in its time. I think a model of it is even more complicated to fly. You dont feel when it starts to stall
