The Mother Teresa reference was BS, she said it because of the unfortunate setting for this speech. If she were being honest, it goes 1) Marx, 2) Mao, 3) Either Trotsky, Lenin or Chomsky. All these dirty communists think the same way.
You are very misinformed because of watching Fox News. Glen Beck is surrounded with "Conservatives" who have done much more than simply quote Mao. Yet he has said nothing about them. He has admitted that the "cartoon" (his words) of democrats being communist was simply created to whip up hate. (This was before he went to Fox, and started doing it for millions of dollars) Goldwater's own advisor openly stated they not only studied Mao but adopted his tactics. (There are pages of such quotes)
There are a number of communists in the Obama administration. This is no big surprise, democrats often cavort with Maoists, Leninists, etc. The antiwar rallies were organized by the Stalinist group ANSWER, but that didn't keep prominent democrats from attending and voicing their support. There is a double standard in this country - Republican are rightly condemned if they hang out with Nazis, but Democrats are not condemned when they hang out with Stalinists/Maoists.
If your comment were true, Van Jones would have never been terminated. Real modern Communists know communism is as Vladimir Putin called it "a beautiful fantasy that doesn't work". China is not a communist country, it is simply an atheist state without separation of Church and State, and a centralized beauracratic government. Their corporate tax rate is lower than ours. (cont)
So when the Republicans hang out with communists, and even conduct joint ventures involving child prostitution rings and sweatshops? You over-looked this to obssess about an academic-geek Catholic, quoting Mao at a Catholic high school graduation? What is either sane or logical about this double standard?
Van Jones was fired not because he was a communist, but because he was a 9/11 conspiracy nut. In fact, most of the media didn't even mention the fact that he was a proud Maoist/Leninist. You're right that modern China is no longer communist, but it certainly was under Mao's reign.
The 9/11 issue was what was focused on as a matter of public dismissal. But he was let go in order to keep from being an unnecessary distraction. Most politicians throughout the world simply use ideological rhetoric to get into power, which then normally ignore and do what they want or what works. This is as true of Republicans as it is of Democrats, or Communists, or "laisser faire" Free Market capitalists. The bail-outs were begun under Bush (who called himself a Free Market Capitalist)
Glenn Beck (before he started at Fox) stated at CNN (when Bush was in office) that he not only agreed with the bail-outs, but much much more was going to be needed. When you are in the driver's seat of a car, everyone is going to have to keep it on the road and out of the ditch on either side, or it will crash, and the driver will get blamed. There isn't but one road, and even though there are two lanes, everyone has to turn right and left at the same places or they will crash the car.
The Marianas Islands deal with China and the Republican lobbyists is mentioned in the video on "Tim Phillips" on this channel. You can also find a PBS documentary on it under "The Jack Abramoff scandel"
I cannot post you link because it will get filtered but if you type in your internet address bar the following address mediamatters (dot) org (slash) research (slash) 200910160001 in the normal hyperlink internet address conventions, you will find a whole page of conservative citations of Mao that Glenn Beck actually appeals to in his programs. Or you can simply GOOGLE: "Will Beck denounce conservatives who've cited Mao, Lenin, Viet Cong?" And click the top link, it will take you there.
The clip of David Coe and "C-Street" usng Moa as a role model for "training" conservative U.S. Senators is mentioned in 2 videos on this channel, the video above and the one entitled: "GLENN BECK ON GLENN BECK ON ANITA DUNN". The relationship of the "C-Street" group to CBN and Glenn Beck is not even mentioned in the article I gave you above, but it is another entire story on it's own. "C-Street" group is a conservative religious group (or cult) that CBN has endorsed and surrounds Glenn Beck
Van Jones only became a real distraction when the network news and the big papers covered the 9/11 nutjob story. The media has long had sympathies with the far left. People make fluff movies about Che and Castro and win awards.
I will not defend Bush, he was a disaster. But I'm worried that what Obama and his people want to do is move us way to the left, far more than the American people are comfortable with.
I can appreciate your concerns, and I do not dismiss them. I have family members that fled communist Cuba. But I also know for a fact that Barack Obama is not a communist. The Republicans know it too (and have said so publically), they are simply using this deciet to get back into power, and that's morally and ethically wrong, My wife has a family member that has known the Obama's for years. They were a typical professional African-American family in Chicago.
The liberals are having a hard time to get Obama to even stand up for a Public Option. And that is just a "group insurance policy" for the general public, it's not "government run health care" (which is a lie). The AMA even supports it. Republicans simply want to abolish all public services period. They do not even want a public educational system. They would prefer millions be illiterate than have a public education. Public Ed still does not put private Ed out of business, it meets a need
Dig just below the surface and you can see that Obama has been back his entire career by leftist extremists, many of them in Chicago. Obama was passed down what would become his state senate seat, in the home of terrorist Bill Ayers. Later Axelrod would explain this away by telling us that Ayers works with Mayor Daily, and that he is a respected educator in Chicago. Huh? The guy is a terrorist!
Well, I did dig below the surface, and what I found was that the source of this conspiracy theory is a Chicago Nazi who was disbarred from even practicing law in Illinois, he has 4 arrest warrants out on him, and is a good friend of Sean Hannity, who makes a strange habit of befriending Nazis like Hal Turner. Bill Ayers was put on the philanthropic board of a conservative advisor to and personal friend of Ronald Reagan. (cont)
And the reason Republicans had to dig in the trash cans of people around Barack Obama, is because they couldn't find one good instance of him ever doing or saying anything that would give credence to those charges. They likewise except themselves of the same standards while they build their conspiracy theory cases. Beck himself is surrounded by people who have held Mao up as a "role model" to "train" U.S. Senators on lessons of "power".
This is not a conspiracy theory - it is a fact. Obama was gifted his state senate seat in the home of Marxist revolutionary terrorist Bill Ayers. But Ayers was not the only Marxist extremist in the room. With them that night were a number of other communists. This doesn't mean Obama is a communist. I don't think he is. But many of the people around him are, including people in his administration.
i dare you to use the same logic you employ here, and start examining who is around these Fox News personalities. Now if you can still do that and consider Obama a greater threat to anything in America, than Fox News, I would like to hear how you (usng logic) get to that conclusion. (cont)
Bill Ayers is not the center of who Barack Obama is, the fact he was on the educaitonal board placed there by a conservative before Barack Obama ever got there, would logically say much more about the friend of Ronald Reagan who established and ran that board, than it would Barack Obama, but somehow that never gets discussed? Why is that? (cont)
I actually have known real eastern European communists. It is a failed and forsaken ideology. They no longer believe in it themselves. However, that is not true about white supremacists and American Nazis, because it is based on race, not economics. If Barack Obama were a full blown "secret communist", he would by now be aware the economic theory doesn't work. If you had ever gone to any of his rallies, you would have seen a circus of entrepreneurs selling political junk to make money.
Socialism is not the same as Communism. There are 9 countries in the world with higher GDP than the United States, all of them are socialist countries. However, even having said that Obama is not a Socialist either. He is a Democrat. They are not the same despite Fox News propaganda. If he were either a communist or socialist, the last thing on earth he would have done is bail-out Wall Street (the center of the capitalist universe). (cont)
Barack Obama spent years helping inner-city youths aspire to starting their own businesses. This is not the work of a communist. People are having to literally beg him to stand up for a public option group insurance policy. A communist would get rid of private medicine altogether. GM was handeled the same way Reagen handled Chrysler. Was Reagan a communist? This crap is offensive, deceptive slanderous and morally wrong. Aside from the fact it was literally the invention of a Chicago Nazi.
And why is it that Fox News is permitted to be "selective" and cherry pick these associations to support Nazi conspiracy theory? Donald Trump is such a capitalist, he makes money his religion. You think Donald Trump would support a "communist"? He's a real estate developer for God sakes! Warren Buffet of Berkshire Hathaway is really a Communist? What idiot would believe this stuff?
But... on the other hand, we do know Glenn Beck is a convert to fundamentalist Mormonism. What is the traditional historical fundamentalist Mormon teaching concerning black people? And practiced all the way up until the 1970s? Now that is not a theory. It is his religious preference.
Most "Christians" consider Mormonism to be a cult, some even consider it to be a dangerous religious cult which engages brain-washing to make it's converts? That's his own open public confession, not some "conspiracy theory" you have to stitch together with sinister but vain imaginations and baseless accusations. (cont)
You should read up on the history of fundamentalist Mormonism. It has a long history of chasing imaginary communist "spooks" that don't exist, and being very hostile toward African-Americans in it's theology. But of course, you will ignore all this.... to call your own president wicked names and takes sides with white supremacists that are using you like a piece of toilet paper they will soon discard when they are done with their nasty deed.
Like I said, I do not believe Obama is a communist. But I believe his is supported by, and to an extent, surrounded by, people with very left wing views, some of them communists. I believe they are a profound danger to America, because they have no respect for our Constitution or the very concept of individual rights.
America is not Europe - we don't like queens and we don't want socialism.
I have actually read some on fundamentalist Mormons, thats some creepy stuff. In Beneath the Banner of Heaven it describes how a young girl in Colorado City is forced to marry one of the elders, whereupon she "unwittingly became her own step grandmother."
Well you are comparing Obama to the past Republican administration which authored the Patriot act, Gitmo torture policy, FISA, and had political opponents imprisoned. The new Republicans do not denounce any of that stuff, and still maintain it was all a good idea.(Mostly because they are simply re-cycled Bush supporters) And yes, Fundamentalist conservative Mormonism (like many fundamentalists in different religions) have some serious ethical problems (cont)
Fox News has positioned Glenn Beck as their new water-boy. The reason is very obvious to anyone thoughtful. They are positioning Mitt Romney as the next Republican nominee. I will bet you perosnally $50 that you will very soon begin to hear Glenn Beck bengin to throw soft-endorsements toward Mitt Romney (The Fellow Mormon). I'm serious as I can be. That's what this (Glenn Beck at Fox) is all about. You can see right through it. (cont)
Everyone is talking Sarah Palin, Tim Palenty, Bobby Jindal... those are all decoy's. Fox News has already selected Mitt Romney to run America, and Glenn Beck is simply his prep boy. That is why they are promoting him right now.
How is someone espousing communism (which she isn't) worse than Bush/Cheney ignoring the Constitution and our entire legal system? Which is more anti-American: being a communist (which Dunn isn't), or pissing on the Constitution and literally demeaning it as "a god-damned piece of paper"?
How if David Coe and Anita Dunn say the same thing, you think you are logical using that to claim on no other evidence Anita Dunn is a Maoist, and David Coe is not? (Of course, you are not trying to be logical or truthful, you're simply trying to be persuasive) so of course that answers itself. It also points out Beck and his sheeple are hypocritical liars.
Show me the clip where David Coe (I'm sorry to say I don't know who that is) proclaims that Mao is one of his two favorite political philosophers. Heck, if Mao is in his top ten I will concede the point.
So, a high ranking White House official volunteers to list her two "favorite political philosophers".
Lincoln? Madison? Jefferson? nope...
Heck, even Obama, Clinton, FDR, or Carter would have been American choices.
What's so wrong with our political philosophers that she is outsourcing our political guidance to Asia?
Seems to me that someone in leadership in our country should have some awe for our founders, and at least one of those inspirations should spring to mind.
The sentence was cut in half by Beck, she said "to make one simple point". But having said that in her defense, this kind of stuff is popular among Religious people. I personally don't care for it. No need to dig in a trash can for left-overs when dinner is on the stove.
