  • love this one Andrew. looks amazing.

  • This model looks better than the CGI in newer episodes.

  • wow, that's cool!!!

  • looks like the james form the show

  • wat brand are these?

  • tomix

  • could you like do the same thing with thomas?

    ..

  • How about for the Mountain part "The Mountain Road II?" It looks like the one in "Bulldog."

  • My suggestion is Rocking Rollercoaster Mountain

  • i have a idea for a layout name Big Sodor Mountain Railroad

  • where could i get the wagons and loco for n scale

  • Ebay is the best place i have found. i cant help with a basic price as the prices will differ based in the way the currency has been lately.

  • it can be called: sodor railway!

  • Sodor Valley, could name it that I suppose.

  • absolutely excellent, fantastic, wonderful, cool, mountainy scenery. Wish i could make something as good as that!

    10 stars for the scenery!

  • I love Thomas and his friends. Thanks for posting this

  • Cool job man, so are you working on a new layout?

  • I'm thinking about making a layout. Thanks for asking.

  • Huh? but I asked Lawso1, so does that mean that you've changed your account?

  • No. I meant Lawso1.

  • He didn't change his account. Sorry about that!

  • your layout name could be sodor and just for fun the island of sodor name in french is(chicalor)theres a show at telequebec on weekend

  • where did u get the wagons from. how much did they cost.

I think in this country 1 wagon is about 3.50 pounds here. (i live in England)

  • Basicaly, try ebay. i got most of the tomix things you see here from ebay. wagons are about $20 to 30AUD here in Australia. come in packs of two. some wagons come with the engine such as james. percy has a mail van.

  • @Lawso1 $10 here in the States (on sale where I live)

  • how much do these models cost and how many have you got?

  • I live in England and i think that it is a perfect copy of English countryside. Take in account that there are trees and grass etc everywhere, even in the cities!

    Well done :)

  • I like the TV version of Thomas the tank. I also like the look of the green landscape of the uk. That was my starting point for the landscape. Australia is in a drought right now and there is brown grass... or no grass.... or dead trees or no trees in some places.

  • ive always wanted to go to Australia. do you watch the UK version of Thomas And Friends? if not then type in on utube UK Thomas and Friends, there GREAT!

  • I feel like I'm watching the TV show (pre-HIT). Anyway, where do you get these models?

  • Ebay is the best place to start for these models. I got Henry in Australia and the rest came from Japan.

  • Heya,

I see you need a name for the layout

    How about Clift Valley Railway?

Let me know what you think

    Looks really good

I'm creating a modern model railway atm in my loft

    1/2 done lol

  • This layout needed a name and was on youtube for a while for people to suggest names. It was named Moutain Falls by thomasj219.

Thanks for ya suggestion. Im always building N scale things so i will consider it for my next project. Its going to be based in the american

  • opps hit the post button before i completed the comment.

based in the american hills where those shay locos are/were... many many years ago. before my time anyway.

  • Please make more videos of these models.

  • I hope to very soon. I have Percy and Thomas. I just have not had enough time to put anything together.

  • How did you get henry and james etc. in N scale?

  • they are both bought models. They are tomix models. the trucks and coaches are also bought tomix models

  • y aint der no sound

  • there is no or little sound used in my clips because they were my first lot of movies i put on youtube. when i can get my camera working with vista i will add more model railway clip with sound. my last clip has music but uses photos.

  • 00 and N scale are the same, but N scale move 10 x faster

  • Can some one tell me what is different between 00 gauge and N gauge. I know there is a difference, but what is it.

  • Think of it this way. Gauge is track and scale is the scale of the model. Thats why you can have HO / OO models running on N gauge track, like a narrow gauge railway for example. 00 and HO are almost the same in scale HO is 1/87 and OO is slightly larger. N scale is much smaller, something like 1/160.

  • That makes lots of scence. I'll just take it as N gauge is much smaller than 00 gauge

  • N gauge is smaller. probably by half as a rough idea. You can still have 00 scale loco on N gauge track...

  • Where did you get the other freight cars (trucks)?

  • really good hobby stores... or ebay.

  • okay!

  • Thomas World

  • the small island of sodar

  • It needs sound

  • I know JamesWay

  • nice scenery!

  • thanks.

  • N Scale is what they use for filming, too.

  • By the way James never really pulls freight cars because he is so concerned about his paint on his engine. lol

  • The first episode thats story revolves around James says he is a mixed goods engine. He think he is a splended engine but the fat controller often has him pulling truck.

  • How about moutian mystery

  • Thanks to everybody who left a suggetion for the naming of my layout. Check the comments on my channel to see what the name of my layout is.

  • Maybe Aresdale Pass?

  • I like the idea a lot of a name of a sodor location.

  • How about Bluffs coal?

  • How about Life of James for a title?

  • for this film or for the layout? if for the layout i was after something that would fit mainly with the idea of sodor but also something that fits with my other locos i have for this small layout. check my other movies.

  • This is far too good for any average thomas fan. Where all of this come from and do you own them?

  • I'm a huge thomas fan! HUGE!!! so far i only have James and Henry but when i can i will add thomas and a few others if i cam get parts to modify other models into those that live on sodor. that makes sence...?

  • hey, do u have a gordon model?

  • I'm getting a HO scale bachmann model. i dont know for sure but i dont think you can get Gordon in N scale from Tomix... if you can though i would make sure i had one to make a movie with!

  • What about Thomas, Percy, or wnyone from thomas?

  • I fogot to add. the layout was just a fiberglass model origonally for HO with all the hiils and so on made. It was my first experience with N scale, thats why i took easy option when it came to making grades and tunnels and so on. i laid the tracks and done the landscaping to make it look the part. I do own this layout. i let kids and other use it at shows. its a good way to get them into a hobby.

  • not yet. they they done have him in the tomix range so i might modify a diecast model or something.

  • The Sodor Mountains? What do you think? By the way- good vid!

  • I left a comment on my Henry film suggesting a spin like Soda (not Sodor) Hills. You raise an interesting perspective and that is you see them as Mountains. I also like to run American Atlas locos as you can see from my other films. I will set to putting a collection of photos together into a short film to help give a better view of the layout. Sodor Mountains has a ring to it so it might be the choosen Name yet!

  • the Britsh rails is a great railway name

  • Do you mean name if after a place in the uk or just name it British Rails? As much as i like the look of a typical English setting, I'm not really familiar with places in the UK. The layout is a small one and landscaped with the English country side in mind. maybe after a small village?

  • Is that custom-made or modified off an actual model? It looks REALLY good o.o

  • Glad you like it. James and the trucks are all bought models. Made by some japaness brand. Wheni get can get the parts i would modify the old die cast models.

  • Oh, they're all Japan-based? No wonder they look so accurate to the TV versions xD

  • I think they are Tomix, thats a japaness brand. The HO hornby stuff looks next to nothing like the tv, bachmann look better. But the Ngauge stuff like in my film is by fair in my opion the pick. The down side is that few models exist. Have you seen my Henry?
