I always use Scor-Tape. I love it! It holds everything together! You can get it in a lot of different width. For my cards I always use 1/8". If you google the name of the tape you will find online stores that carry it. I know Eclecticpaperie and the Scor-Pal site both sell it.

I glued -sticky strip- my ribbon first to the back. then its much easier to handle/ tie.
