  • this is a little off topic John but on Donkey Kong Country Returns, one of the last levels with the rising Lava, I hated that, reason for this comment is 'cause I just finished like 5 minutes ago, I really recommend DKCR for WIi, but I'm you already got your copy since your a huge Donkey Kong nut

  • wow thats cool i live in seatle small world

  • Like I always say to my friends. Check the video rental places for game related goods.

My recent find at was at blockbuster. They were pennying out the copies of the over stocked games. Got Left 4 Dead 2 and Armor Core (360) for less then 13$ without cases. Also managed to swindle some of the extra xbox game cases for free.

  • i see you got trojan at your local play n trade, gotta love that place

  • I did also do a new gaming pic up video! Please wacht it :DDD

  • i love how all the gamecrazys in west phoenix shut down the day after i buy a membership

  • Great pickups Gamster81. I totally forgot about X Wing Vs Tie Fighter. I used to love that game!

  • Good Choice taking the banners you should put them in the game room so it would look more like an arcade. That X-wing vs Tie fighter game is one ive wanted for a bit because i love collecting star wars games. One of my favorites that I have is Super star wars for SNES. Also my favorite N64 game is goldeneye 007(Thnx for the recomnedation) ive been playing my N64 alot since my wii broken a few nights ago.

  • yeah so you got some amazing shit...made a comment too soon during th evideo haha but uhh the stuff you picked was awesome i actually came across a mortal kombat shaolin monks cardboard display around 5' tall and was awesome. Also i found wesker's report on dvd at a game store for free and a bleem cast disc set for metal gear solid for free there also.

  • You and the AVGN are the people who got me interested into this great hobby/life style. Thanks.

  • i agree!

  • Me too!

  • Hey thanks for the compliment. I'm glad I'm a part of getting you interested in this great hobby.

  • i have return fire 3do complete long box

  • Nice pickups, I especially enjoy the Jag CD game (My favorite system), but I don't think you'll enjoy the gameplay, haha. ALSO, I'm wondering if you ever got this, but you look a lot like Tom Morello, you know, the guitarist from RATM. Anyone else agree with me?

  • LOL you know I've heard that before. =)

  • You have to love how the dumbasses at Play-N-Trade put the sticker on the shrinkwrap of the Trojan box.

  • Damn...Nice find with the Powerglove!

  • Nice pickups

  • I wonder when electronics manufacturers will rediscover the amazing fingerprint-proof matte plastic technology.

  • as soon as they they can make it shiny and glossy lol

  • Sweet pickups. Where'd you get your shirt? Awesome :)

  • @ tyzwain

My wife made that shirt for me. =) Thanks for the compliment.

  • What's the point of collecting if you can't have any fun with it? Gamestar's attitude towards collecting is the right one. Either sit on the shelf and collect dust or open up and get in the game, time waits for no one.

  • in the wizard jimmy play double dragon on the playchoice 10 also he get 50000 on the game lol

  • @ NSTYFatman

Cool I remember that scene from the movie. Weren't they in some type of bar or truck stop? Classic movie for sure.

  • sadly most windows 95 games don't work on vista... specially if its 64 bit... though I think some work, hope your lucky and it works

  • It might work on his new netbook; it probably has xp on it.

  • Oh trust me netbooks are horrible for gaming. my Dell Mini 10 with external CD drive can't run any games, they have VERY weak graphic cards. I can't run any of my windows 95 games due to compatibility issues as well, DOS games same thing and early XP games I get 50% speeds. Trust me netbooks are not powerful enough for anything, I personally made that mistake...

  • Oh I know that suck for anything modern. But windows 95 games will run on ANYTHING. It's more of a question of whether xp will support it or not.

  • I don't think that he was going to play it on his netbook, because he said vista, and all netbooks have xp or 7 on them, he was probably going to play it on a different computer

  • Yeah my netbook is basically to watch YT when I'm gone for work, and work on some reports. My other computer has Vista.

  • You wanna install linux mate , makes any computer run super fast

  • great pick ups man. do you get all of this stuff on ebay or what? i live in san antonio and cant find any place to pick up retro games like this. all i can find is gamestop. : (

  • @ shroyerdave

You know I travel a lot for work all over the country so I'm able to go to some stores that I'd be able to go to usually. Only the Playchoice 10 games I got on ebay. Everything else I bought at the stores.

  • Thats so true, Just stopped by a second hand store, the guy had loads of old games when I asked how much he said he is not really interested in selling and is waiting till they become rare. The only names he knew was Sonic, mario and zelda, wanted to charge me £60 ($97) for ocarina of time no box and dirty. I hate collectors that know shit about what they collecting and dont even play the games. GRRRRRRR

  • Love your videos, Gamester! And great pickup with Umjammer Lammy. One of my favorites!

  • awsome vid 5*

  • PlayStation 10 lol.

  • You picked up some a lot of great games. Ys Book I & II is one of my favorite games of all time. The soundtrack is amazing. The Happy Console Gamer has a really great review for Ys. And you are right the version you have is the duo version. This was the version that was bundled with the duo system. There was also a regular version that was sold when the turbo grafx 16 cd system was available.

  • Damn....nice pickups...

Sadly all are Hollywood Video stores closed about 2yrs ago.....so no dumpster diving for me :(

(Because I totally would...those are awesome!)

  • Bookmans is an awesome place to get vintage games! i got a 3DO with three game (complete) there yesterday for $60

  • I recently got Return Fire as well, though I got the Playstation 1 version (big box). Great video, awesome pickups, keep it up.

  • 8 bucks for um jammy lammy!! BS!!

  • I picked up a power glove IN THE BOX at a yardsale few years ago for 16bucks

  • Superb pickups, love the red box that New Super Mario Bros comes in :-). Awesome banners you got, you should put them on your ceiling, be really cool

  • nice pickups, i have played the new mario bros. on the ds it is pretty good! lol that laptop has the power of my PC ;)

  • ¬_¬ the wii version is brand new. that one is like 3 years old.

They are nothing alike, other than its mario

  • I was so happy to get RC Pro Am II with the manual for 4 bucks. The game is pretty good too! Much rarer than the first one because it came out late.

Ys I think was only on CD because of the voice acting.

Lately, I've been getting PS1 big box games. Just got Loaded. Awesome game! Not the rarest big box (I think that might be Raiden Project, which was a launch title), but I just love those things.

  • Should I break my "Only-PlayStation" and start playing the Nintendo DSi ?

  • Of course, its nonsense to stay loyal to one system or company.

  • A game that will never get opened just seems like a waste to me.

  • awesome pickups

  • That's some nice finds you got there :D I wished that games was this cheap over here! I most often can't find older games thatn PS1 and GC in stores, and then, they are pretty expensive! (15$ for shitty games and so on)

  • HAAHAH "Picked up some PlayStation 10 games"

  • the banners look great.

  • Thats cool that you open shit whats the point of having someting when you cant fuck around with it :)

  • Ahhh, must resist buying Wii, just to play NSMB!

  • Gamester, you're a beast!

  • Man those are some awesome finds. Would never find some of that stuff around here.

  • The Hollywood Video/Game Crazy just shut down randomly one day. My friend preordered MW2 from there paying for it fully and they said the only way he could get his money back was going to the nearest one, which was a pretty far drive.

  • Great pick ups! Nice finding Wario's Woods complete. I need to find that game as well as RC Pro Am 2. As for you're Ys question, I had to pull out my copy and compare your disc by freezing your video at 3:52. Yup, yours is different. I own the retail version for TG-16/CD. I think yours may be the Duo version that came packaged with the Duo system. Mine also came with a small paper map of the game world. Goonies 1 for the Playchoice 10! Yes! I remember kicking bi-pedal rats in that game!

  • I have a blockbuster closing nearby. I should ask them if I could have a sign.

  • sweet finds from the dumpster dive

  • holy crap you're way ahead of all of us with your playstation 10 games!!!!! LMAO. j/k! funny slip though man!

  • Nice pick ups. Gamester81 dumpster diving! Who woulda thunken?

  • OMG! LOVE YS! I only have Book 1 for Master System though. Can't find the Duo version (or a Duo for that matter) for a reasonable price. :( But fear not, there's no regular TG-16 version.

  • I actually think he's got the Ys that came packaged with the Duo console. I own a retail version for TG-16/CD and I compared my disc to his by freezing the video at 3:52. The discs look different. Mine actually has "TurboGrafx-16 CD" printed in the black half of the disc. And the silver / black design is split evenly horizontally through the MIDDLE of my disc and not vertically in a 3/4th split like his. My game also came with a paper map. Gamester81 may have that map and not shown it though.

  • Good finds, though I think I would have passed on Y's since you download that for the Wii Virtual Console for 8 bucks. :)

  • people like hard copys

  • awesome pickups...here in NYC its extremely hard to come across a mom and pop gamestore that doesn't overprice there classic games. In my experience the best ones we have charge almost double the regular asking price on eBay.

  • i wasnt aware of game crazy closing. Maybe they will have some good sales. Sweet snag on the banners.

  • nice pickups dude..yea i would have got those banners also..i love finding stuff like that to put up in my room

  • Looks like you got some good games. The new Super Mario game looks amazing. I am going to purchase a Wii for that game, and the VC games.

  • Hrm I didn't know there was two power glove sizes. Anyway, you REALLY need to show off Scrapyard dogs for the 7800 because I can't even find a video of that on YT and I think it's one you must show off!!

  • @ MN12BIRD

Cool man, I'll do a gameplay for Scrapyard Dog for you soon. It's a weird game for sure.

  • One man's trash is another man's treasure LOL

  • The banner was pretty cool, I love finding that sort of stuff

  • Incredible PickUps!!!!!!!

  • great games nothing wrong with free banners

  • What was the name of that 7800 game?

  • Great pickups man, lots of stuff over the last few weeks! Wonder what they are doing with all their stock at those game crazy stores...

  • Heh, Playstation 10 games. You know, with all the other stuff in your collection, I wouldn't be all that surprised if there was a time machine in there somehwere.

  • great pickups

  • Nice pickups..=D

  • IT'S FACEBALL

  • Great pickups man. Where do you get your games so cheap? A lot of people recommend Goodwill, but I never find anything worthwhile so I typically pay around $10 or $15 for NES games. Makes collecting them a slow process for me.

  • great vid

  • Laptop prices are getting inexpensive now days. :O

  • Nice pickups man!

  • Gah! Nice pick ups mate! I envy you all though as I'm too poor to collect games these days. But you wait, I'll snag game after game on the Master System yet!

    Peace Gamester.

  • they relesed the book of y's on ds

  • Great banners! LOL

  • There is your laptop. Very awesome bargain. Can't go wrong with 180 bucks. Great pickups overall dude.

    Awesome banners! =)

  • first to say first

  • Bookmans?

  • @ Vintagevideogamegeek

Yeah they have three Bookmans in Tucson actually and I was there for work, so I got a lot of stuff there. I also was in KC for work recently and they have stores called Vintage Stock that is basically a heaven for retro gamers.

  • Another astonishing video!

  • Wow thanks for watching. =)
