@herwayr7 I completelt agree, some reasons for people not liking certain musicians is appauling! When I was in my first year of a music degree I was told by a flamenco guitarist that he went to see a local performer and the person next to him said he was rubbish because he played a certain note with a particular finger! I hate the way most pianists play, they look and play like robots. They remind me of people who do paint by numbers. Sure its they paint, but they didn't create art. Maksim does.

I do agree that 4 years is NOT nothing but I also agree with zibatarin123, if you play long enough you can already remember.. I play for around 2-3 years and I can play (if I already memorize the scores) without looking at my fingers too often (still need to look of course, I'm still in beginner level).. thus, I believe those who played for long might be able to play w/o looking, at least for most of the part

OH by the way I forgot to mention, I don't know if hes doing this or not, but those black things on his fingers could be tape..

Sometimes, when you place certain pieces your hands cramp up so to avoid that some pianist use tape to stiffen the fingers.

Contrary to popular beliefe, it actually works and makes the hand movements a bit more controlled.
