Why is queueing considered n00bish? Surely it's more efficient when you know you need all of the queued units?

@GwresYnKernow Because all those queued units wastes minerals and does nothing. It's much more efficient to queue next unit just right after the current one finishes training, that way you have all those minerals to spend instead of them being doing nothing in queues.

Or in a more simple way: would you rather have 2 marines training at the same time, or 1 training and another one in queue.

@GwresYnKernow Having units in queue means you lock the minerals there, which could've been used for other stuff during the unit production process. Like teching, constructing buildings etc.

Little late on this response, but, not opening with a opening that counters most terran openings (colossus) simply because it can be countered by SCOUTING is like saying you shouldn't build a barracks cause barracks units can be countered, also if you don't HIDE your colossus in the back of your base or in some unreachable, usually ignored area before your timing push/counter, you sir are a idiot.

Like saying you probably shouldnt open with immortals against zerg cause zerglings counter them.

@Ninjamonkeypirates terran only i suppose. just coach yourself, get some good replays and look into them and try and learn why people did certain stuff, or how they know what was coming. do maths better in your head, train your hands for speed! XD watch day[9] could also help, focus on timings, watch your money and supply every now and then, and also check for idle workers. constantly produce workers, you either expand or attack, but never sit back for too long... etc...
