Just an idea, but I think you could improve the suction on top if you got rid of the bottle neck. You have a big diameter exhaust port coming off the mitre saw, then you choke it down with adaptors, and then back to a big diameter hose. By the looks of things if you got rid of the "choke/bottle neck" you could double your suction. Just a thought and thanks for your video.
how about making two of it in a row. if the first flips back, the second will still be in place and vice versa.BTW I use old wheel tubes for this kind of dust flaps.

I would have thought good quality double-sided tape would be easier than glue for that cowl.
