I don't know what she is saying ,,, but I love this and most other songs of Oumou ,,,, is there anyone who can tell me what the general meaning of this song please ,,,, than you !!!!... great love for Oumou !!!!
If this was a Gnawa remix or something that would be great, but i don't get the point of this or the guy in the background. Is he the remix ?? A kick drum & a couple of echoes drowning out Oumou voice
@paapakobe Thats boddhi satva the producer of the track! do some research before you speak! if Oumou sang on the track apparently she was happy with it you think?
@paapakobe Dude obviously you know nothing about house music.I suggest you shut the heck up if you don't have anything to say.I personally did not know about Oumou before I listened to this song.Remixes help in diversifying a song and a new audience is introduced.Jesus Christ
@zestb114 Please, relax- I said was a bit negative, like your reply too. Im an African musician; love House & danced to it since the day; DJ on radio & parties & remixed tracks like this since 1990 w/awards for that. As a fan & friend of Oumou 1st to interview her in N.America, I didn't know about BODDHI & but I LIKE what he does after i heard more. Just not THIS mix or vid & i wrote my immediate reaction. Peace
Does anyone know where I can find this? Is it on CD? MP3? I would love to play this in one of my sets. Afro-house is beautiful!!!! Another instant classic for me from my man Boddhi. Keep doin' it, homie!!
Lol, that was exactly how I got to like her music too. I was living in Ogba (close to Agege) and my mallam friends used to play it. I think she's got very good voice and she stays true to the african way of singing......By the way, I am yoruba too, but I guess good music cuts across all cultures.....
can anyone translate please.

The original of this song is far superior to this car crash of a remix.
Where the original had deep heart, spirit and soul, this cover is a travesty of a magical recording.
The beats are just so predictable and boring (typical white production), and it robs the original of its splendour.
The title is 'Ah Ndiaya' (not Ah Ndiayah) - he could'nt even get that right.
Go and listen to the original (it is here on youtube), and you will hear the huge difference (and probably love it even more).

This song (but not this mix) is on Oumou Sangare's CD album called simply ''OUMOU', and is available from Worldcircuit records and elsewhere.
The whole album is totally magnificent and this remix does no justice at all to this great star.
