@swedishhighball A safety is when a player on the team on offense gets tackled in their own endzone. Lets say an offensive team starts at their own 4-yard line, tries to run it but ends up getting tackled in their own endzone. Thats a safety and means the team on defense who tackled you down gets 2 points (and that team now gets the ball back too)
So, if you make 10 yards, you get another 4 plays? If that's the case, does that mean you will probably end up with yet another 4 plays during the next 4 plays? If that's the case, then surely the defense will never get to possess the ball?
@250Trojan If the teams are evenly matched its actually pretty difficult to gain 10 yards. If one team does march all the way down the field and score a touchdown. The team that surrendered the touchdown(the defensive team) gets to play offense and try to score on the next set of plays.
So 4 plays to make 10 yards, if you make 10 yards you get another 4 plays! You score a touchdown you get 6 points, if you kick the ball through the posts you get another point. If you havn't made 10 yards in 3 plays kicks the ball so when the opposition start their plays they're way back in their half of the field. GOT IT! Now i'm ready for some FOOTBALL!
lol, i can't believe you guys are having a fight about which is better, American football or rugby? In the end, they're both sports for men who don't have enough skill to play the REAL football so they run into big people.....
football is like my boyfriend's life and i wanna get involved in his sports because i know he is happy when i watch football with him even though i understand none of this but this video helped out
@ivovnc maybe because hand ball was first taken from soccer so the game had no other choice to be called football. Also, football requires ALOT of running. running = feet.
@GreatBlueKnight and they use a racket so it's a racket sport. There's multiple football codes. Motherfucker is also one word, and you should probably look up the etymology of football because you're clearly an ignorant twat. American Football, Association Football (soccer), Rugby Football, Aussie Rules Football, etc. are multiple codes of football. By the way, go ahead and comment about how it's football and not soccer, i'd love to read some more idiocy tonight
I am European, I am a futbol fan, and completely understand that game. All I understood from American Football was what a touchdown was. My husband is american, and I really did not get into American Football, because I simply did not understand the game. My husband is a Vikings fan, so I went with them as my hometeam, since SD will be my homestate eventually (and they go with the Vikings/Twins). This really helped me understand the basics for now. I will have to watch it a few times,...
@MrsMKP Who's your favorite NFL team now? Maybe you're into the other football known as "soccer"! Think American Football is too long and boring and kinda rough? Ever heard of the Chicago Bears and New York Giants?
oh my god this is fags game ... i watched a game of fags ply this shite,
i am a rugby player and its way tougher than than this piiss shit...
offensae and defence ... what the ,, i wachted a game and my granny picking her nose used more energy,,,, fags game......more dancining than the cheer leeders...
@woodland92 my good sir, although u are entitled your own opinion, I would like to explain to you that football is much more physical that rugby. Rugby is a free flowing sport, where you toss the ball around. But football is much harder hitting because there are individual plays. I myself have played football, and it is very physical. So i would suggest you play some actual contact football before you make yourself look like a fucking fool.
@woodland92 have you watched a propper game, there is WAY more contact than rugby, i agree the tights dont help people other than in the US take it seriously but there not all exactly ballerinas. so think before you speak next time your just embarrasing yourself
@woodland92 Football has more contact than rugby. It also has more strategy and in general much classier fans than rugby. No matter what it is you will always see a comment like yours on every youtube video that is about American Football. Because of this I am forced to conclude that rugby fans are insecure about their small penises and feel the need to troll as much as possible to compensate. Have a nice day.

@bestever41 i like offense because in offense you can score the touchdown, in defense you cover the other team so they wont make the touch down

@YellowBlackbird12 you, my good sir, are a tit.
1) real men dont wear pads. (i.e rugby) if your tiny american brain cant work it out.)
2) rugby is possibly the most uper class game ever (except possibly croquet.)
3) it is a typical, shitty, american genralisation to say that rugby players have small penises and finally
4) would you be so kind as to explain the correlation between penis size and trolling?
now, kiss my english arse you warmongering wicklesnazzle
madasamadthing 11 months ago
@madasamadthing
Typical mindless name calling and faggotry from a rugby fan.
I guess thats why soldiers who wear body armor aren't real men. Good logic.
Uper? What has happened to the Queen's English?
My brain's so small I can spell correctly, unlike you. You will notice I never insulted rugby players, just their trolling fans, like you.
When you have a small dick and are a rugby fan you must make up for your insecurities by trolling, like you.
Thanks for the laughs internet tough guy.
