David Gaiman is the father of writer Neil Gaiman who was a class VII auditor and ran the Birmingham Sea Org. Undoubtably they had building fundraising "events" whereby a dozen or so scilons sat there being cajoled for hours until they caved in and gave money. No one gets to leave the room until everyone gives something.
They used to do this for the IAS, but people were catching on to the fact that no one ever saw a budget report and basically the money was disappearing. So, they switched the game around.
Now, they buy buildings, but no one wants join because the truth is out about Lafatty's scam.

The USBX bank joint ventured with the CIA's Carlyle group) made decisions that cost Carlyle 22 billion dollars in losses...no doubt into the hundreds of billions or more by now.

An ex-scientologist told me that the church has to buy by proxy because no one will sell to them. They cannot see that this is not what is happening at all. If the church were doing this merely to get around bad PR they would have turned around and said "sucks boo, its ours now" after the first transaction, i.e. when Centrepoint bought it. Not saying what's been done is illegal though, very interesting though. All nicely documented too.
this sounds like what the Co$ did in Clearwater, Florida when they bought up practically the entire city there. The citizens there did not know what was going on at the time because of the deceptive tatics. Hopefully Anon can inform the Brits.
David Gaiman(old Guardians Office)was also the owner of G+G Vitamins when I was in the Sea Org.They also ran the canteen at Saint Hill and sold the 'Elite' members of the SO expensive drinks and snacks,altho SO staff only earned about 5 pounds per week and walked aaround in tatty uniforms.
It's people like him that need to be shown for what Scum they are.And their children who worked in the canteen were too good to join the scruffy Sea Org, that's how 'Elite' we were.Thats $cn Ethics for you

Your comment above I was referring to that the majority are making a few people rich in the church. Thus the rip off to the ones believing their donation is for the property not to make someone rich.

Yes, it seems that some (a very small minority) scientologists benefit from being in the church at the expense of the others.
