I'm sorry I think we're getting our wars mixed up. You didn't win the war of 1812...the pearl harbour comment (see above) was referring to the fact that Canada was fighting in WWII for years before the US was pulled in by Pearl Harbour. While the US involvement did turn the tides, Canadian forces did a heck of a lot to keep the Nazi forces at bay, BEFORE the US was involved.

Yes I understand what you are saying. But the reason we were given as to why coalition forces were sent to fight the Taliban was because they, the Taliban, would not surrender Bin Laden. What is the reason for this war now? Other than perhaps to fund the M.I.C. Giving Afghanistan or even Iraq, since you mentioned Iraq, the ultimatum to surrender Bin Laden/WMD's "or else" is analogous to demanding the U.S. give up Jimmy Hoffa. This war is pointless save for the puppet master's purpose.
