This is fast, but very sloppy. The first seconds are like 315-320, then it slows down quite alot. Arconda is fast, and that's about it. I find his drumming very boring and uncreative. No feeling, no creativity, only focused on speed it seems.

That's not 320 bpm or anywhere near it's a reasonably unstable 280 - 290. It's not bad, but don't make up the tempo because naturally you will get hostile responses expecting to see 320 bpm.

I think all metal drummers know that speed doesnt make a good drummer, but the metal genre calls for a very agressive feel. There is a lot of technique involved in doing blasts, but most of these people sound good slow too.

I personally dont admire"LOOK HOW FAST I CAN GO!" I see no REAL skill. If you practiced speed and ONLY speed you will be fast, but where is the technicality and musicianship. Behemoth is an exception, he has both speed and technicality that cannot be matched, but bands like BrainDrill and those bands dont WOW we with what they can play, its stagnate throughout song. When listening to All Shall Perish, or Job For A Cowboy on the other hand there is speeed and texture to what they are playing.

Because this vid shows that WE are too obsessed with 'speed'. This guy is trying to go as fast as he can while he can't even hold the tempo. But why playing 320bpm out of tempo and not relaxed while you can play 250bpm relaxed AND hold the tempo? 250 is still amazing and good!
