Considering the fact that this IS a REENACTMENT, we kinda tend towards using blanks as opposed to (obviously) live ammo! lol! In regards to the "bodies, blood, and guts" I'll be sure to talk the other fellows into stopping by the local slaughterhouse for the desired props needed for the next reenactment!
@24michiganironbrigad Thats good I do US Infantry and everyone trains together and is in shape and if you cant complete training than you cant do events. Also you have to be properly groomed and the right equipment
@24michiganironbrigad what regiment do you re-enact? if you do have a regiment of course...
I ask because i'm in the royal regiment of fusiliers in the british army (for real :P) and i might be able to give you some advice on our techniques of fighting
@itssfergy I have tons of insignia for various Divisions and Regiments, so I can put on the right patches for the battle supposed to be portrayed. When I can do any unit, I do a Gordon Highlanders impression.
I actually do have a 2nd (City of London) Royal Fusiliers Impression for the Italian Campaign! and I am trying to get a RF impression together for WW1, as my family spent a brief time in England while en route from Russia to the US, and served with the Jewish Legion of the RF in that war.
@24michiganironbrigad Awesome, i'm in 2RRF with SUPPORT COY as a recon sniper and pathfinder, meaning my unit will parachute in at the dead of night, scout out the area for "enemy" armour, artillery, infantry or mine fields for days on end, then finally we would call in a special forces unit (SAS, SBS or RM commandos) to mount an attack. After our work is done, we secure the position and call in a company of infantry to guard the newly found encampment then we will get an evac and head home. ^^

@muscleman492 In our unit you have to look like a proper British soldier (weight, facial hair) to be able to participate.
