  • Hi, very nice indeed, i had to watch it several times,nice nice music,and the system is just gorgeous,im in the hunt as i write to locate a good one or restore if needed,thanks for the post and reminding me of what i use to do on a saturday morning after i rode my bike into town to the record shop/bar and buy the lastest hit,lets say Tracey buy the Cufflinks for instance,,,take care sydney down under...Sensational!!!

  • when 1st 45's came out here in the UK in the early 50's they all had Large Holes (wot we call juke box holes) EMI then went to small holes and every one follow here in the UK. But some of them you could take out the center and but back in. Some of the early Elvis HMV 45's was like this but USA and most of Europe stayed with Larger holes. OZ and NZ and SA they stayed with small holes

  • Most 45's have small holes. The ones with larger holes have either been punched out, or were for use on the earliest record players that only had the large spindle. You can get spindle adapters that replace the punched out part.

  • Where are you? In the US, all 45s have large holes.

  • @jamezx I don't see how a large hole adapter could work with that overarm, unless it has a second position. Of course, many adapters of that era worked without the overarm, but the last record would repeat indefinitely.
