hey i have a 2003 GT, with 50 k miles on it i jus bought, what would you recommand for performance upgrades to get that extra horse power while not killing the MPG, i have about 4,000 im looking to spend, any suggestions. ? :) please respond

if u wanna save a little more you can get a supercharger installed. that will give you the extra horses for sure. if not, then do the basic bolt ons like cold air intakes and upgraded intake throttle body and manifolds. you can also do a full upgrade of your exhaust starting with LT headers all the way to the catback system. that should give you some extra power for less than 4 grand. also look into to a steeper gear like 4.10 for pep off the line.

if you are only going to supercharge and nothing else you dont have to do anything else to the car. on the a stock block you will be around 360-370 whp depending on the tune. once you go up in power in you have to look at upgrade the block, exhaust, etc. you already have 100K miles on your block so i wouldnt recommend anything crazy b/c the supercharger does add extra stress to it. you can go ahead and supercharge it if you are just gonna be out on the street.

3.25" pulley. it had been supercharged for about 3 or 4 years with the stock bottom end. no drag strip drag racing with tho. just short stints on the street. it was mainly for peace of mind. b/c its pretty much bullet proof now for what it has in it.

@ganee6a nope, the only u may have to change is the clutch. as long as ur boost is not over 10lbs u should be fine with a stock motor. push it much higher and u will need built block or forged pistons and connecting rods. u dont have to put an intercooler but i would recommend it for the added power and efficiency
