  • you are such a sweet person! i love all your videos & stories. they really motivate me to look for self-improvement in life. i just wanted to say thank you :)

  • What was the name of the book if you don't mind me asking? Anyways, I have this huge urge to go call my friends and tell them how much I love them. Thank you and bye!

  • amazing video! this actually started on the road to investigating the peace corps and now i plan on going when i finish college!

  • hey i think this video was very insightful. i am guilty this makes me take a 2nd look thanx.

  • well.... I cant regain the energy to comment on all ur vidios that are at a great many,I commend you for being so active and successful (expecially with the backrounds and that tase.... goes together well... any way,I shall be the reminder of doom in its general sence for you.DONT FORGET THE DOOMS OF LIFE.Becuase the dooms we suffer everyday are more commonplace than many deeds, feelings or chance happenings in this life, maby. And it may be that I am negative,But grief is accepted as norml.I Fear

  • Yeah, you've got a point with the irreplaceable thing. And it starts to creep into all our relationships, and prevent us from truly opening up to people. We are a proud generation, that's for sure. We have said, "I want it my way!" And pushed the other away.

  • I like what you are trying todo. but try working on it more, work on your morals (lady of the vid) its not easy to keep up with them. Ur videos would be more interesting if they were deeper, and less story time

  • Happiness is found only when you look at all the positive things in life. Sure it is okay to feel other feelings, but remember the good things. Look at inspiring quotes and lives of people. That helps me. Happiness is something that can often be controlled just by the way we see things.

  • Happiness is the only goal on earth that all people without exception are seeking to attain. Believers and unbelievers alike seek to be happy, but each party is using different methods.

However, only believers can achieve genuine happiness. All forms of happiness attained without a firm belief in God, the Almighty, are mere illusions.

  • I like this lady, but the music in the background makes me feel WEIRD.

  • You are irreplaceable, thank you !

  • If i find myself feeling, irritable, restless,or discontented."Depression" try to turn my focus towards taken care of personal response abilities, how i might ad to life rather how life hasn't suited my expectations, and if my relationship with "Jesus the, christ" may have taken a back seat,Jesus says drink from this living water and you will never thirst again.

  • This video had nothing to do with religion. Stop projecting and forcing your beliefs on other people.

  • And just how do you qualify,to instruct me on how, and, when i should share my experiences in life with others.

  • fuck off you god bothering twat

  • Bullshit. This is hardly about experience, but a religious subject. Nice try.

  • Yeah fuck off oldcity and tell it to your peadophile priest

  • Great video ! You point out something about be happy is not just about money (i think you can be rich and be happy) but also about people around and how you interact with them. The problem about money is when you cant get enough of it or when you cannot be satisfied about what you have. In the bible it is the LOVE of the money that is the problem or when you replace God with money.

  • I like what this woman is saying and she makes some good points. However, me thinks she comes off as Pollyanna and too idealistic. There is nothing to be romantic about being poor. Poverty sucks!

  • so beautiful , it made my day . god bless

  • thank you for this video! it really gets to the point, that no matter how poor or rich you are life becomes meaningless and depressing if you have no one to share it with, or if you have no people who need you and make you feel useful. great video!

  • i wish the united states were more like that, if we have hapiness then we are ok. If you have at least one freind, thats all you need. Thank you so much, i take it all and apply it to my every day life!!!

    peace be in your journey

    5/5

  • Shes a very very very very very very very good orator.

  • This woman is excellent at communicating and I would value more videos like this from her. This type of mature, honest, and intelligent blogs are rare to find here and bring understanding to people searching for answers. Thanks for the effort you put into this video.

  • it takes only one person to break your heart; only one to denounce you; only one to rape you; only one to torture you; only one to kill you. humanity has an incredible capacity for cruelty, and I find people to be viscious and unredeemable. when you have been burned alive as a witch at the stake, at the hands of a lynch mob chanting for your death, you change. you turn from humanity that has betrayed you and wounded you to your very soul. you quit the entire program.

  • Get falsely accused and imprisoned in prison for over 700 days, in a hot, humid, sensory deprivation box, where your overcrowded and fed poor quality food, where your diabetes goes untreated and you go mad from the constant noise of stupidy crushing out your very thoughts... and you want nothing more to do with 'people'.

  • yea trauma can cause people to lose trust w/ their fellow man however, you have met thousands of people in your life and only a few actually abused you.

  • A famous saying by one of the early Muslims was:

"We enjoy such happiness that if kings knew about it they would fight us for it".

  • damn, ur everything i would want in a girl. beautiful, smart, spiritual,..and so on.

  • I admire the fact that you're trying to send out a positive message. I dont know exactly what the motives are behind it, and for my personal happiness I disagree with some of the viewpoints, but this video is good to reach a broad mainstream audience. Congrats.

  • people are important, but i wouldn't reduce that to utilitarian expectations. Perhaps communication is the base of consciousness, and i am inseparable from the community. I don't need people, but i'm inseparable from them.

  • Caroline, Thanks you so much for sharing all your wonderful and inspiring experiences.

Being around people, especially those who respect and accept you is one of the best way to beat depression.

  • Really nice video by the way and it's really true all what you are saying...

  • let this be a lesson to all the little boys and girls out there "never join the peace corp"

  • Caroline's discussions are so wonderful! :-)

  • Lovely and true. You radiate.

Thanks for sharing your time and insight.

  • I believe that Americans are communicating now more than they ever have. So many of us are on the Internet communicating with new people every day through various forums, social networking sites, chat rooms, blogs, etc.

You don't necessarily need to be sitting right in front of someone to talk with them.

  • >>You don't necessarily need to be sitting right in front of someone to talk with them.

I disagree; it's just not the same. Not being able to see the other person, to read their body language, to see them smile or laugh or whatever.. makes a huge difference.

  • That may be true for some, but for most people under 25, they've been communicating that way for essentially their entire lives. There are benefits and drawbacks to each way of communicating, but in my personal experience they can be equally effective.

  • not the same. in fact, communicating and relying in virtual communication just develops distance among people.

  • Talking in absolutes about humans and their nature is about as useful as hitting a brick wall with a feather.

  • humans are all unique, but we all share an escencial common base.

  • Sure, there are some commonalities, but you should have used a qualifier in your initial statement because it isn't necessarily true for all people. In fact, for some it is entirely false.

  • actually, virtual communication actually is a benefit for lot of people but my major concern is that it can be replaced by natural common human speech. and that i dont support.

  • I'm an advocate of each type of communication. The degree of each depends entirely upon the individual. If you take into account the ridiculous amount of differences in human relationships, you will rationally decide that digital exchanges are just as important in today's society as physical ones.

  • just as important, but physical communication cannot be replaced. well, for me.

  • thats so true

  • Yeah, it's weird. There doesn't seem to be as much communication in our society. I love talking and it seems like hardly anyone ever wants to. And when people do, it just seems like little small talk, that only lasts for a little time, and then it's over. It seems like everything has to go somewhere, and somebody has to have something to do to distract them. Movies, tv, etc It just seems like nobody ever just really communicates anymore. Course, maybe I'm wrong

  • Caroline, thanx for that. It was amazing.
