  • Great voice and piano playing - suits the song very well.

  • I had never heard this song before, where was I, now I dont like anyone else playing it. You and Van Cliburn are my most favorite players. thank you for the sounds.

  • Must Learn!

  • Tarnation... it's either you or Eric... and your playing is very old new orleans... you need a manager...

  • Who is this musician? I like this version, the way he plays piano and his voice.

i like how he sign. Who is he? Someone can answer me? Thanks

  • I dunno, it's not right without a guitar, to me. But great performance.

  • Great rendition ...thanks for this !!....much respect!!

  • That was outstanding!!!

  • This is probably the best rendition I've heard of the song. I like it better than the original, and the piano work here is excellent.

  • i like the jazz version :)

  • Wow, great piano playing and singing!

  • good shit

  • YEAHHHH !!!

  • Une des interprétation les plus intenses, vraiment touchant, superbe travail.

  • Oh ...on the contrary, getyourhandsoffmygirl...Doug Duffey is revered as one of the best and most respected SINGERS in the business as well as pianist!!

You are right, Doug ( even tho I am posting this a freekin year later! ) it was amazing that the piano worked! I have done that gig before...your hands get a work out, especially when dear old Al Broussard banged on it for about a week! :)

  • It's called "playing with feeling" as not enough people do.

ChuckDaMoney, sounds like you want the watered down version! lol :)

  • It is impossible to put "too much" effort into ANYTHING!

  • very beautiful!

  • Very, very talented, man.

  • ...this was good-so right about a miracle the piano worked as well as it did..although piano tuners did come regularly(bion) Of course Doug coaxed the best from the rascal, like many of the awesome musicians that came through this club

  • The best version I ever heard-was this the summer I spent in NOLA?

  • I have to say.. singing, piano... nothing bad about it, nothing bad at all. I'm inspired!

  • I disagree, I think the voice is great and the piano playing is good

  • thank you! (-;

  • @DougDuffey totally agreed!

  • That was so amazing I cant even find words for it! You're not the best singer in the world but gosh u know your piano! (and your "whoopy" pedals too for that matter)

I guess I just want to say:

    BRAVO!!!

  • thank you! glad you find it amazing... in retrospect it is amazing... that the piano even worked at all!

    doug

  • Really nice. I wish I had been there!

  • thanks! that was a special time in my life [working that club] unfortunately the club is now some "canned music" music joint; a real piece of new orleans musical history is gone. glad i had the insight to tape everything i did for a few days! [out of the YEARS i was there. duh! haha]- all the best/ doug

  • Lawd. Lawd. This is the Cadillac, all others are Fords.
