@RetardedxVideo Well yeah, as you can see in the video, the controller I'm using is the same one you use for the guitar - the six string Mustang. You can do both pro bass and pro guitar parts with the one controller =)
OK that convinced me I want a pro guitar! Mentally difficult but by god the satisfaction of getting only 3 stars and ranking 6th is too much to bear (PS I can't complete this on a 5 button controller will take a LOT of practise to get it in pro mode so no competition from me yet)! Kudos for no fails!
@Stefarioman Ahh, I see. I think they just left it like that because it'd be easier to incorporate into the game. Not to mention, there are probably eventually gonna be some songs released that use 5 and six string basses, so the notetrack will already accomodate for those =)
@normajean19 They'd be played as the lower octave of the note after the mute. I'm pretty sure they put those in there to make it a tad easier/realistic to play on a real bass. Otherwise you would have to be doing CONSTANT string skipping octave patterns, through the whole song. That would be even more of a nightmare.
@FreeHugs330 No, the outro's hard because it's hard. It would take a very skilled bassist to play something similar to that on the real bass, have you ever seen a video of this song being played live? You get to the outro, it's just a single chord being held on a synthesizer with an arpeggiator making it sound like a series of notes instead. Don't be so judgmental towards people who've never played a real guitar before. Why do you think they'd want to play this mode in the first place?
0:30 WAIT A MINUTE!! that chart is completely diferent from the normal bass chart. the real bass chart is from the red and green parts (the first 2 cords). they just added part of the bass keys parts to make it harder. (u can notice it by listening carfeully the sounds from the bass and the bass key diference).
@wombat989 yea i even played the bass part on keys on expert and is not that easy. i compared it by playing on button bass and is too much for a bass, really
@wombat989 Same way you would do it on guitar, keyboards have the same notes as bass and guitar so it's just a matter of figuring out where they are on guitar/bass
dude that was impressive.nice vid its cool to watch someone play the mustang well. the only real guitar player in the house doesn't play rockband much
i sure hope the release a 4 string made for bass,
it'd really suck if i had to use picks to play bass songs

This is one of my favourite songs. I am going to give it a go on my Fender Squier when it arrives.

I really wish the pro bass charts used only four strings so it's less confusing.
cicabeot1 10 months ago
@cicabeot1 What do you mean? I don't think you ever see the highest two strings being used in this song, it does only use 4 string.
CrimsonBlaziken 10 months ago
@CrimsonBlaziken I mean the fretboard in which the chart is displayed shouldn't include the top 2 strings that the average bass doesn't have.
cicabeot1 10 months ago
@CrimsonBlaziken I think what he means is that on the fretboard it should only show 4 strings, not 6.

Hahaha I love the leaderboard position. Thanks for this video. I've been wondering what this chart looks like.
I have a question though... when played on a synth, how would the muted notes be played?

The Outro is only hard because you are all too used to playing the FAKE instruments =/
