Study the Ba Alawi people of Yemen. He is of them. Their lineage to Muhammad s.a.w. is extremely well documented and most authentic. It's an area of study that people rarely turn to. Their lineage is not vague with names missings. Some of the lineages are full of famous scholars to the next, all the way to Muhammad s.a.w. I don't think the descendants of any family in this world, Muslim or not, has been as well documented as theirs.
