porque no tratas de arreglarla? en vez de quejarte y quejarte y volverla a activar y activar y activar podrias hacerle algo util como limpiarla, reiniciar con el disco de instalacion algooo, me pone nervioso
You need to run diagnostic test,,,,what OS X are you running....power down...put in installation disc...repower and hold down option key...go from there or email me...
I have now had my brand new computer for a few days and it is making bizarre noises. I called Apple and they offered nothing. I sooooo regret buying this computer. Here we go again. NEVER AGAIN.
Within a week of buying the computer it was riddled with weird system software problems that required hours of time on the phone with the technicians telling me how to fix it. Also, The speech setting for visually impaired just stopped working. Certain letters on the keyboard just stopped working. Obviously the power supply failed- no surprise there- i think they are engineered to last about 6 months. Finally the hard drive died- for good.
my ibook did a similar thing, the screen would go black for no reason. Also, the "on" switch only worked about 60 % of the time. The super drive chomped up an inserted CD and died. The Apple word processor ran so slow from the very first day out of the box, that when i typed a sentence, the text wouldn't appear on the page for a few seconds. Then, it just stopped saving one day. I couldn't save any of my work.
i would leave it off for a good chunk of time so it will cool down....all g5's have an issue with over heating and next time it does that touch the back of it...its quite hot
The iMac G5 generally has overheating problem. Since G5 generate lots of heat, therefore, the computer is shutting down or put in sleep mode to prevent overheating problem. What u need to do is connect the Apple store or Apple reseller or Apple to fix the overheating problem.
If you touch back of your computer, doesn't matter it use IBM or Intel processor, you will find out your computer is very hot. My Macbook's bottom became really hot after several hours.
i sent some messages to you that you can try out in your youtube inbox. i have given two links that may resolve your problem. If you have time you might want to see if it arises again and try to bring it to the apple store again.
That's really cool, a 1.200$ vacuum cleaner.

I would save your stuff & reinstall Tiger or Leopard as an Erase & Install. Wipe it Clean. Than if that does not work, it's a hardware issue.
