I saw somewhere, they say that the sound quality is very bad. We have to go really near to the camcorder in order to get good quality sound. How true is that?

I've just ordered from eBay. I'm afraid it's not up to satisfaction.

That's not true at all. Sound quality is not the best, but still pretty good. Audio is best within the range of 5 metres. It can still capture loud sounds from a far distance and it all depends on the volume and distance. But all in all, it's good.

@CampellsUK I have this camcorder now. I put my 8 GB SDHC card and I find that it can only hold up to 25 short videos and a few photos. 8 GB should be able to store more videos right? I think the video format used up so much space from the card. Is that the way it should be ? Can I do anything so that the card can store more videos and pictures?

You'll need to record at a lower resolution or use a bigger memory SDHC card. They're the only two solutions I'm afraid.

1 more problem that i am facing right now is that Windows Media Player in my laptop is unable to read the avi files when i transferred them to my Desktop. It will say "Windows Media Player has stopped working" and i have to click the "close program" button and that's it, i'm able to view the file on my laptop without using the software from the disc.

I'm not able to open the avi files in Windows Movie Maker as well ! I wanted to edit them!

You'll need to convert the file format to an editable one (e.g. MPEG). This is standard when it comes to video editing. I recommend Total Video Converter.
