In the Asia trophy we played Aston Villa and played superb football with Drogba, Sturridge and Anelka, now we have Mata too, it's all good.

Cmon now we both know that pre-season is all about fitness. The moment we played our first and second Premier League game against Stoke/West Brom we saw AGAIN how our team lacked creativity. We are always out of ideas when teams defend well. We need a player that can unlock defenses and set things in motion. Thats why we got an explosive/creative player like Mata. And thats why we are still in the hunt for a creative midfielder. I love Chelsea but we NEED to strengthen midfield.

Yeah I remember alot of stupid journalists screaming that Drogba/Lampard/Malouda/Anelka would all going to be sold before the transferwindow even started. Our manager is not stupid, he knows most of those players still have a huge role to play for us and we only need a couple of changes. The spine of our team (Cech/JT/Lamps/Drog) hasnt changed in 7 years (!) and thats a great thing and Villas-Boas knows this. He is finetuning our team and wants to add some creativity.
