  • @skybolt71 The religion of all humanity...its called Surrendering ur will to the 1 God..

  • @t10parwani

    never heard of !!

  • @skybolt71 Research..

  • @t10parwani but its ironic that we cannot realize ourselves.

  • Supremo, superior, subyugante, esto es la esencia del ser... como Vangelis lo hace a su misteriosa manera..... con sutileza, belleza t armonía....

Gracias x subirlo y al creador X este momento que se irá como lagrimas en la lluvia

  • For me, the most moving piece of film I have seen. thankyou Antoss1

  • From 'His" heart to our earz~! thank you Antoss1

  • @14283622 like tears...in rain

  • Imponente Vangelis

  • This movie is perfect, no weak points in it: scenery, script, acting, music, special effects - all fits

  • @urmo345 There are movies that does not age - this is one of such

  • give props to rutger hauer...

  • who f**k doesn't like this?

  • Only by the hand of GOD

  • If you listen carefully, as you all do by the reponses, you will understand that one day these photos and the scenes created by the natural earth, will all be a memory, some may never be able to enjoy what so many of us take for granted....

  • i cry everytime.......................

  • With the opening words spoken by Rutger Hauer

  • i get chills every time at 1:14 awwwwwwww

  • RIP Dad - the many nights we used to sit there stoned, listening to this bit of music. Now he's dead - and I will be playing this at his funeral. RIP. xxx.

  • @Evilbones76 Don't despair. The God who made us all will soon correct all the wrong we have mistakenly done. You and your Dad will be united. Peace.

  • These are true words spoken by a true genius to us mere mortals, but we all lose our tears in the rain one day, so try your best to give everyone you know "Good memories! xxx .......................................................Glynn Martin

  • I've seen things you people couldn't imagine...because I have the internet.

  • love listening to vangelis, always brings back memories of my dad who loved these sort of tunes rip dad. love you xx

  • This is my favorite movie since the '80s but the human soul is eternal. You decide where it will end up by your choices so cheer up.

  • You don't need to be an astronaut in order to feel light like feather... all you need is to hear this perfection and your soul is floating.

Happy first human flight in outer space Yuri!

  • "it's too bad she won't live, but then again, who does?"

  • I love this. I've always loved this. My Dad passed away in his sleep last night and this is the perfect music to keep him at peace - Thank you.

  • @garycee It's too bad we won't live, but then again who does....

You're not alone though :) just remember that.

  • WE ARE replicant OF 100 YEARS OLD

  • Fuck. I'm crying.

  • It took a few viewings of this film for me to realize how poignant & heart-rending this scene was & what it represented. Yes, the replicants were merciless killers, but since the Tyrell Corp. had made them "more human than human," they felt life more intensely & completely than any of us...so one can understand their anger & frustration at being cursed with a 4-year lifespan. Yet at the end, Roy ended his life showing compassion/humanity to Deckard. Beautiful...just beautiful.

  • @oliasdoug it is the most powerful ciminatic scene in any film for those reasons. All the beautiful things Roy has seen in his life mean nothing to anyone but him as he is the only one to experiance them. Imagine all the amazing things you have and will see in your life that you cannot explain to anyone else. Memory is one of the most amazing gifts possesed by the human mind.

  • After watching the ends of some movies, i feel like dying so i never have to watch a bad movie again.

  • @gukonni This is the reason i rarely watch movies nowadays, most are simply crap

  • Die Ruhe selbst

  • A bit more subtle is not possible? You know people have imagination, you don't need to show a cheesy woman with tears when Roy speaks about tears. Also, if you want to relax to this scene, I wonder if you're dead already.

  • shame that films get to us more than reality, whats the juxtaposition here??

  • In the extras on Blade Runner special Ed DVD, Rutger Hauer reveals how much he was into playing the character of Roy Batty; he came up with the words to his departing monologue ".. like tears in the rain" himself.

  • Beautiful...I love the way he released the dove unharmed..

  • Music is the queen of the arts, a manifestation of pure energy. All real musicians know that and play with it :)

  • Any versions of this without the voice at the start?

  • Well done, tremendous video, inspiration indeed, a wonderful word 'inspiration', a blessed word, all inspiration is positive, energy!

  • preciosa

  • one of the most touching scenes in the cinema history

  • Sci-fi is a highly misunderstood genre.

You know the most direct definition of Science is 'Knowledge of our Universe'

And the center of all storytelling is Experience- 'What we all go through in our existance'

Knowledge & experience should go and-in-hand while doing sci-fi. Be about ideas in stories exploring who we are in the universe, characters experiencing in such extremes like nothing in our current world. Not just provide high-tech products as an excuse for just cooler scenery & action.

  • @AspergianMind Great point. I think that Star Wars did a great job with human emotion and story. Lucas is a genius.

  • "Pushkar" has never played the same melody twice . While playing he listens with the heart rather than looking at notes .cd 's."Silent Explosion" - One fine morning - Ding - Inner Harvest ... L'have them all ... Also the songs from Vangelis ...beautiful video . Thanks !

  • Wow. This video is beautiful. Very good job ;)

  • why i think tha all was better in 80's ? why?...i think because somebody will think that things in 2000 was better....and this,,,in 2030...nostalgy

  • Son's of 80's...only now i realized what does it means...the future see with 80's eyes...only now i realized...yeah only a film...yep only a movie...sorry for my english...my was only a message in a bottle.,.only a fucking message

  • Great video. I have loved this scene for 27 years. It is one of the most profound expresssions of the human heart I have ever seen in film.

  • relax, close ur eyes... turn of the lights and just cry.... really try it...

  • Thankyou, Thankyou, THANKYOU!

  • You've done a man's job, sir. I guess you're through, huh?

It's too bad she won't live...but then again, who does?

  • science fiction is so beautiful. it stretches our imagination but in doing so we realize the beauty of our core fundamentals. there are some things that we just know and feel that will always stay true to us...

  • i bought the movie yesterday and after seeing it i immediately searched and downloaded the amazing soundtrack.

  • Nosso planeta é fantastico... limdo lindo....não podemos deixar tanta beleza e

    tantos misterios.... desaparecer....

  • Somethings not scripted turns out to be immortal. I really love Hauer's last monologue. Another thing perhaps as not as genial as this is Catherine Schell's not scripted gigglings in The Return Of The Pink Panther but still it just fits in with the mood of the movie.

  • this verry relaxing music

  • I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire on the shoulders of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

  • Perfection.

  • i am not afraid of death any more :)

  • Me either, after watching Battlefield Earth..death would be a release lol

  • love it since it came out

  • This makes me proud to be a human being..to create something this beautiful.

  • Rutger Hauer ad-libbed most of that speech too. It was originally much longer, but he said to Ridley Scott, that the guy is running out of time, so it should be shorter. He used some of the original words and came up with the last three lines himself.

  • Very close... he did not strictly 'ad-lib' it as he penned his dying words before performing them (or so I was told, so could be misinformed i admit). Still a genius for making that scene what it is... a classic cinema moment... it gets me every time... I well up, sometimes shedding a single tear myself.

  • @MrDavidBTaylor As far as I remember Hauer only improvised the "tears in rain" part. The rest was scripted.

  • one word magic

  • BEST of BEST Vangelis song

  • try to find "I'll find my way home" with Anderson. That's the best in my opinion of Vangelis, although this one is also great.

  • dutch superior power actor

  • I get choked up every time I hear this. He's speaking for all of us here.

  • @davism97 True! All these moments will be lost in time like tears in rain... when we die. Sad :(

  • only old time classic melodies REALLY worth, they have "soul" if you know what i mean... feel the night..............Antoss1 thank you very much!!

  • Timeless music from a timeless movie

  • Very sad music.

  • wonderfull music. :)))

  • My Fav Sci fy scene...sooo nice the music and the words...everything we all know one day will be much as he says " Tears in The Rain" heres to us and heres to now :)

  • @MrTribaljames yep, everything we have right now may one day be reduced to nothing more than a paragraph in a history book if even that.

  • Thank you so much Antoss 1 for this video

really well made!Vangelis works make me feel so many emotions. They are like a kind of poetry in this world who lacks it much.

  • THis is a great video post. The music and the words from the movie make you think. At least it should.

  • Awesome post.......hearing Rutger Hauer speak Roy Batty's final words to this music still sends a shiver down my spine every time even after all this time. Vangelis Captures the moment beautifully.

    "More Human that Human"

  • @Morethanbobsonofbob more human than human what a concept man strives to make the perfect world the perfect lifeform...our imperfections are what make us perfect.the variations the improbabilty of the outcome, the world we live in were life ends and begins in continum. a world lost somewhere in an infininte universe

  • What u you wrote is profound....did u make it up or copy from a book?

  • That was some deep shit, think we've possibly found the new Carl Sagan.

  • You are kidding right? Nobody in the western world can not know these words are from Ridley Scott's 'Blade Runner' surely. You're joking yeah?

  • pauljn147

Ive known the words....since i seen the film when it was released.Sadly this film isnt very popular here in the states.

  • Sure... Who the f... is Anjo?

  • this music is awesome. Simply great

  • I crying to listen this wonderfull music.

  • Thanks for getting the title right.....most people say "tears in THE rain. But it's actually "tears in rain".

    Great Vid, BTW.

  • I didn't say you had to think in the context of the movie.

Vangelis, his music is so flexible that you can use it in another soundscape, not

    necessary in Bladerunner alone.

It would be a good cinematic exercise to

put it into another SF-movie or make an

SF-short with his music in it.

  • amazing words

    amazing music

    Just perfect.

  • Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion......

  • i'm totally relaxed now :D. thnx.

  • I watched c-beams ... glitter in the dark near Tanhauser Gate

  • To bad she won't live , But then again who does

  • Comment removed

  • i wish i was a reptile-icant.

  • dude... 4srs learn to english. and while your at it learn to film.

  • These are sounds that carry you into a state

    of Zen.

All you need is a balcony overlooking the sea

and a sunset on a balmy summer day.

  • too bad those balconys are 300 bux a day!!!

  • Balcony overlooking the city more like.

Ever actually seen Blade Runner? Lol.

  • Let me see,

    Eh,

    I got the VHS tape,DVD (director's cut),

    I got a VHS-recording from TV.

and by looking at these I got the urge to hit

myself in the back of my head for not having been in the movie theatre back in

    the eighties.

Had I known, it would be that great when

I was a teen then I would have been in the cinema to watch this epical movie.

So yeah, I have seen it several times.

  • I just bought the final cut on Blue Ray, I've got the five disc collectors set of the final cut on DVD, both versions of the sound track, original and remastered, I also own a DVD box set of every single different cut they released, a poster of Roy signed by Rutger Hauer himself and a replica of Deckard's overcoat, and to top it off, I just ordered a replica of Deckard's pistol.

There is still hope of you seeing it in the cinema, they sometimes play it on special occasions, so keep an eye out.

  • That's fortunate for those who live in the U.S.or the U.K., where SciFi-retrospectives are the usual, but not

    for mainland Europe.

Unfortunately enough the Benelux-countries do not have as much avid SciFi-fans with enough clout to organise a local viewing of BladeRunner.

I would jump to the occasion.

I take my hat off to you for collecting so

    much memorabilia of this film.

To me it is mostely the cinematography

    that interrests me.

  • boinkboink68.....can you imagine what a surprise this movie was to me back then? My date and I picked it out from the Movie theater marquee, just something to pass time..I was just happy to be in her company, I could have been happy watching grass grow if I was holding her hand! LOL!! The whole theater sat through all the end credits and many applauded....very unusual for an American movie audience that was so jaded in terms of Hollywood movies.

  • its wierd, im up north in canada and the applaud at the theater after star treck, that was wierd

they always seem to applaud whenever its a space opera

  • out there man planet fucking pluto wot a tune

  • ovo sam cuo u Nocnoj Mori kod izvesnog Malnara:)

  • Excellent!!

  • I did cry because of this scene in the movie Bladerunner! :( i love it!

  • Awesome, such an inspiring speech and song, gotta love it. :)

  • very nice, glad i stumbled on this great video

  • ΣΕΒΑΣΜΟΣ ΣΤΟΝ ΒΑΓΓΕΛΗ

  • What is the title of music?

  • If I may point out he chokes on the word "in" and it's not heard in the sentence but is part of it.

  • Not often you can enjoy music like this... Fantastic !!!

  • My 2nd favorite just topped by the Blade runner Blues.

'i've seen attack ships on fire'

    Blade Runner is so special.

  • Well put together, well done! Fantastic piece of music, it's the one thing I always remember since I first seen Blade Runner years ago.

  • Amazing.

  • Very nice! But it's, "like tears in rain"...not "tears in the rain".

  • i think Vangelis is very relaxing music, it's very good to play world of warcraft with!

  • I do the same thing!

  • haha xD yes of course it is relaxing music! but i would never use this song during i am playing computer games! This song always makes me cry :( one of the best songs of Vangelis

  • Is cool if you're playing CIV4...

  • same here best music to get stressed out while raiding :p

  • @jok111zzz i play it when playing assasian's creed

  • I'm sure someone has already pointed this out...but it's actually "tears in rain".

    Great pix BTW!

  • thank you

  • Thankyou - that was absolutely beautiful.

  • that was beutiful

  • wonderful video for a wonderful piece of music

  • Thank you.

If you like this video, I think you'd like my other ones. They are basically the same: still pictures with beautiful background music. I believe that when those two elements are combined, they create something far more powerful than words or video could ever be.

  • very nice :)
