I love how I can actually recognize the songs when these guys play live!
If you ever went to a James Brown concert, he paced it so fast that you were still trying to figure out what song it was after they were playing something else!
He was a strong performer, but very musically disinterested in his audiences as far as their desires to hear his stuff live.
thanks for posting this music i have been listening for years on this group i thought i couldn't find this on youtube. great musician, i love there music, thanks
I have this DVD. Though it's sad that Nick Webb passed away, but Miles Gilderdale did a great job on steel strings. I've seen AA back in Manila when they had concert there twice, when Nick is still alive. They are simply amazing! These are the true musicians. You can really feel their soul into the music.
@Qbrother Your right I heard this group back in the summer of '88 playing this classic been a fan ever since too bad that one of the original members died in the late 90's.
These guys were my late wife's favorites. I am getting remarried in May and their music will play a big part of the ceremony, just as it did for her funeral.
There are plenty of entertainers but few musicians. These are by far the best musicians that most have never heard of out there. Hats off to you AA for making music a joy to listen to again!
...on the AA CD 'Early Alchemy', there are 4 tracks that are on the 'Easy Going..' CD. They are; 'Slap it Down' becomes 'Finger Pickin', 'Waiting for you' becomes 'Tall Story', 'Sarah Victoria' is 'Mary Louise', and 'Moonstone' is called 'Amber'
I've a CD called 'Easy Going Guitars' with track 5 called 'One From the Heart'. The second half of which is identical to 'Casino'! There's quite a few tracks on it that are AA compositions but with completely different names.
