im new to online gaming and i would like to get a copy of this. i know servers are shut down meaning u cant play online. but i if i get it can i do story mode or whatever?

If they can bring back TRON like they have im sure The Matrix will have its every 20 year remake or prequel or sequel or TV series. Take Sara Connor Chronicles for example in Movie to TV show spin offs. I do want more Matrix though

After seeing this very same trailer i went out, bought the game and a years sub. There were some good times but most of those were because of the Zion clan i joined (=SeD=). I started playing it less and when the festive season rolled around i tried out Guild Wars, not expecting to find much going on and was blown away. A free MMORPG that did more for Christmas than the one i'd sub'd to. The even axed Morpheus ffs.
I stopped playing after that and so did a lot of other people....

@killr3333 There already is an Emulator online, you can google it easily. I tried it but I found a lot of problems when running it. When I tried to equip abilities or even an a simple item from my inventory, the game just kinda freezes. Making it impossible to continue to play. :(

Free trial? As far as I know there are no free trials anymore for this game... And if there is you would have to create a SOE account and donwload the gameclient and all updates it (which should be a hell of a job, 2,5 years of updates :p)
Dude, you have no idea. Took five hours to download all the new patches. I first bought the game back in 05 when it came out. Patches used to take maybe three minutes. Now, three years later on a new computer, it took five hours...but when you think about it, that's not too bad considering it was nearly 8 GB of data being transferred.
Oh, and there are free trials. Sony does it every once in a while.

You need to finish creating your character ;)
Give it a Handle (character name), a real first and last name and select a class that will fit you best. Then continue to the training area.
