This is a GREAT sura'h MASHALLAH!! May Allah reward the prophet Muhammad ( peace and blessings be upon him) for his hard work with spreading the words of Allah AMEEN!
Salam alaikum and jazak'Allah khair for the videos you have provided.
May I ask if it is necessary to prolong the recitation in certain areas? For example, this reciter prolonged it at Yada, but I've also heard the surah as a whole recited at a quicker rate by reciters that are considered valid. Is it a general rule that you can prolong your narration for any surah? For example, some reciters recite Bismillah ar-rahman etc. quickly and others do not. Peace be upon you.
Thank you for your question, may Allah bless you for trying to improve your knowledge. I am not 100% certain because I have also heard some qaris who recite this portion quickly, however I don't know why there seems to be an allowance for that. From what I know, the letter alif at the end of yada has a necessary prolongation (equal to 3 alifs) because the next word begins with hamza ('Abi)
If you google "Tajweed Rules for Quran Recitation" then click on the 4th choice, from scribd, there is a nice explanation for some of the various rules.
There's nothing there about exceptions though and I have heard a lot of very respectable Qaris and Imams neglect that prolongation, so there must be a reason inshAllah. I do try to prolong this when I recite it though because I haven't learned those exceptions.
@naely123 wa aleykum Selaam naely... I am not 100% sure, because I didn't record it at the time I uploaded, but I believe the reciter is Husary. If somebody knows differently then please correct me... JAK.
You can listen to other recitations with him (and other qaris) through quranexplorer(.)c o m or tanzil(.)net
"hammalate..." can end with, "el." That's 7afs recitation. He is not reading with 7afs. I believe this is warsh recitation. That is why it end with, "oul," instead.
Both are correct. You can double check with your imam since I am no expert on tajwid.
There is a mistake in the way of reciting. it is in the second 31-33. Please carefully notice. It shoud be Hammalatal hatab, instead of hammalatool hatab.
I find it easiest to learn to memorise and also to learn to read arabic when you have the arabic script and the arabic written using the alphabet.
Lahab was a bad man. He was the only one in Banu Hashim that wanted to give the prophet pbuh over to the disbelievers. The rest even though they did not believe still protected the prophet pbuh.
This Surah IS the Surah about Abu Lahab, but it's title is Al Masad, or "The Palm Fiber" based on the last verse which states that Abu Lahabs wife will have a "Palm Fiber" bound to her neck....
But hopefully you realized that when you actually listened to the video/read the translation?
thanx but i already new the story behind it my tutor taught me srry 4 not knowing the title 4 im only 12 and curius y it siad surat al masad not al lahab and thanx 4 ur lexture Wa Selaam...

*** The program that I am using to make these videos presents SHADDA-KASRAH with the KASRAH on TOP of the letter (not on the bottom as you would expect) - the Kasrah does lie on the BOTTOM OF THE SHADDA - so if you see a SHADDA, and the line is on top, then it is SHADDA-FAT'HAH بَّ but if you see a SHADDA AND THE LINE IS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SHADDA, THEN WHAT YOU ARE READING IS A SHADDA-KASRAH لِّ .
Al hamdulillah - I hope you see your reward yawmal Qiyaamah - I'm teaching my son myself using your complete seies to strengthen his tilaawat ! Jazakullahu khairan !

Selaam aleykum... I make the pictures in Paint (program) and put them together with the recitations in Windows Movie Maker.
Is that what you were wondering brother?

Jazak Allah Khair for that brother. I double checked a Warsh Quran and you are right, in the warsh version he ends hammalat with oo.
So the reciter is correct but so is the text, and people can recite it whichever way they wish. Thanks for pointing it out!

It's no mistake. It's a different recitation. You're thinking of 7afs. I believe he is reciting with warsh.
