@cheddyrod Then explain this: Why is it that when a Republican is in trouble, the party is mentioned while Democrats never get their party named? Would you have know that Rod Blagojevich and Mike Nifong were Democrats? No, because the media never said so.
@StoogeWatcher Who cares either way? What, a republican shitbag is better than a democrat shitbag? A shitbag is a shitbag no matter how you spin it.There's good and bad dem's and good and bad repub's, You must be one of those people who choose a corrupt republican over a just democrat(or the opposite) just because of the label, disregarding what's best for the future of america. Fuck parties, how about you know the PERSON you vote for.
Where are the men who own these private prisons who paid these kickbacks? Why aren't they arrested and hauled off to trial? If the judge was found guilty of racketeering (as stated in the video), then why haven't prosecutor's invoked the RICO statute and seized control of these private detention facilities?
The larger question should be what is happening to the private prison/boot camp companies that have been bribing judges? One can deduce after all, that this is probably not the only judge they are trying this with. In a genuinely democratic and civilized society, there would be outrage about this, widespread media coverage, and there would be legal consequences for not only the bribed judge that they caught, but all of the actual bribers, right? Well, that's not happening for a reason...
This judge needs to be made an example of. We all know he'll never actually serve the 28 years he was sentenced to. I'm in favor of the death penalty for this man. His crimes are that severe. This is a man who swore an oath to uphold the law. instead he betrayed the law, as well as every citizen in his district. I hope the people don't let him just walk away with a slap on the wrist. Children have suffered, and died at the hand of this criminal. He needs to be held accountable for his actions.
This is EXACTLY WHY we SHOULD NOT have private FOR PROFIT prisons. This sort of corruption will never end until we eliminate private prisons. Its fucking remarkable that we as a nation have permitted this to happen. The United States has several times more prisoners as a percentage of its population that almost any other country. That should IMMEDIATELY set off alarms.
This Wednesday, a young man will be incarcerated and sent to maximum security prison for one year due to an adolescent misstep.
In the case of State v. David Fernandes Jr, a then 15-year old boy was initially charged in juvenile court with Conspiracy to Commit Assault in the Second Degree. He had no prior criminal record and, in fact, no previous contact with the court system at all.
i love this. a capitalist society run amuck that allows anything to be done for money....wars, joke health care, scandalous education system....but if you swear on tv it still get bleeped. what planet are we on?
The Ella Baker Foundation was successful at closing TWO state funded, privately owned children's prisons. There were many children there who were doing LIFE IN PRISON for drug charges. LIFE IN PRISON for drug possession! Many children didnt even know why they were there. If you, yes Y-O-U continue to close your eyes to the SHIT thats going on in this country thinking "if i just keep my head down..." NOT. It can happen to you, it can happen to your child.
Putting people in prison for money is wide spread. It happens alot in California, Texas, Georgia, Arizona, Louisiana - three strike states are the worst. This judge is not the only one by a long, long, long way. There are many, many people in CA and Louisiana who are put in prison for very sketchy circumstances. What is happening now is prison management for profit.
time to end this horrible war on drugs and in particular the war on cannabis. Dear God!!! how many kids do we have to lose to these bullshit laws before we say enough?
"Supreme court threw out some 4,000 decisions this judge had made", well for alot of these kids the damage is already done, and the lady whose son committed suicide the damage is irreparable, so very sad.
My Mom always said that "can't fight city hall", well I say, we never know until we take that first step, AND together we can all make a difference.
Problems have become profitable, and because of this, there is more incentive to keep problems alive for the sake profit rather than solving problems.
@yakyakyak69 food, water, and energy are a necessity to life; these should free to all humanity. gold, silver, and money is not a necessity to life, so its fake. you have bought a lie!!!
@wakosoto The value of commodites are regulated by their value i.e. their availibility and the amount of HUMAN energy it takes to acquire them. The more rare and the harder they are to find or produce, the more valuable they become.
Gold and Silver have been used for coins for thousands of years because their rate of production and amount in circulation closely mirrors global population growth.
Paper currency DOES grow on trees. credit is just a few key strokes on a computer.
@wakosoto We will be forced to as the counterfeit (fiat) US $Dollar collapses. It's eather barter or cashless which runs through the same banks and not-Federal no-Reserve not-bank that collapsed the system in the first place.
1st time offender witha fucking pot pipe!!!!!!!! I can't believe that locked him up for that. God,, this is a tragedy!!! This guy should burn

Corruption ALWAYS happens when TAXPAYER or FIAT money is involved.
Money itself does NOT corrupt.
It is the LOVE of money and POWER that corrupts!
The "War on Drugs" is pure corruption!

@wakosoto
Half-truths like "money is fake" is the blackest of lies because they can be partially defended.
Fiat money is counterfiet, yes even "fake" because it is based on NOTHING but "faith & credit" i.e. DEBT.
Sound money is NOT "fake" because it is backed by a commodity like gold, silver or whatever and the "supporting commodity" will NEVER be worth ZERO.
