@pfernando27 This is a TV rip, but its certainly high quality resolution wise. 1024*576 (full PAL height with anamorphic width). I actually don't know how it was broadcast (720p or EDTV, conflicting info on the net) but i still find that the TV rips are clearer/sharper than the DVD.

Now, Haruhi (november '10), Clannad, Kanon and K-ON! all have Blu-Ray releases, and they were done by Kyoto Animation like Lucky Star. So I'm hoping blurays will be announced at some point. Fingers crossed.

@ajb16991 i saw season 1 k-on dubbed and then found out it was a fan dub, it was on a site that only has dubs so i thought it was legit, sounded great, i was going to buy the blu-ray k-on! but not anymore, lucky star in blu- ray would be awesome, also The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya in blu-ray would be awesome too.

@ajb16991 DVDs are capable of EDTV, as it's only 480p, I believe. So it probably was 720p. Also... Japan implements technology faster than most other parts of the world, so it probably was HD.

This would have been taken from a PAL DVD, so the resolution was 720*576 anamorphic. So to make it appear normal aspect, it would be stretched to 1024*576. Because Youtube only allows HD videos to be shown when they are 1280x720, I had to upscale it. Anime generally upscales well anyway because of its simple lines and colours, and this is far better quality video than HQ Youtube i think you will agree.

I'm pretty sure its just a parody subbing of the intro. If my memory serves correct, this was taken from the second half of the series, Where as the first half was correctly translated.
