I have these and I love them alot, they have a perfect balanced sound in everything unlike beats by dre which just look nice but are over priced and the solos are muddy and too bass heavy.

I got these too... I gotta ask. After wearing them for a long time, do you feel some sort of compressed discomfort on your ears? I thought maybe I was listening to music too loud... but I get the feeling after wearing the headphones for a couple of minutes without any sound too.

Of course the qc 2 or even the 3s. They feature active noise cancelling but they're more expensive. Think of the on-ear as the same as qc3s but without the noise cancelling.

If you are interested in headphones I suggest looking at headphones other than Bose. Bose headphones do not have as good sound quality as many other comparably priced cans, instead they have bloated bass, shrill highs and no mids. Most consumers will not recognise this as the sound is a decided improvement over ibuds, Skull Candy, etc. but there are other companies that make much better products as far as sound quality goes.

These other companies include AKG, Audio Technica, Beyerdynamic, Grado, Yuin, and a whole host of others. A very good forum to learn about headphones off of is head-fi *dot* org where there are people who have spent WAY too much money on their headphones, but they can also point out good equipment for less.

I don't mean to say that Bose does not have it's place, their headphones are good at active noise cancellation and supremely comfortable, but the sound is not worth the price.

If you check out professional musicians, you will see that they are not wearing Bose products. This is because Bose headphones are generally not considered to reproduce music as well as other headphones.
