Thank you Betty, I've been a student house keeper for awhile and your videos have helped me a lot (especially an hour before dinner is served for my host family on days when I'm lazy) You're a life saver!! <3
Hi BettyLove you show i look forward to watching it everyday...Betty i was wondering i would love to make this but spice and i don't agree..so should i just shake the peices of dough in sugar or maybe vanilla sugar what do you think..thanks so much ...Deb
@kiggiteee Yes, you can use a tube pan. If you don't have that, use two square pans or a rectangular pan, and adjust the cooking time, if needed. You won't have layers of caramelized bread pieces, but it will work.
So... i live in germany... my question is, does someone knows a German alternative to the buttermilk biscuit??? I'm not sure what kind of dough it could be here in germany????????????????
Hi! The recipe looks very yummy. I would like to try it but here where I live I kan not find refrigerated biscuit dough. Do you have any idea what else I kan use to replace it? Maybe home made biscuit dough? If so kan I get a recipe to get same amount?
Betty, two thumbs up from my husband and my son! We like your recipe better than the one on Pillsbury's website. This is sook good and easy to make. Thank you :))
Love this recipe....Sticky & Sweet! p.s Love ur comment about Amy...sounds like u 2 have developed a wonderful friendship/bond..thru cooking...very cool...both of you have eXcellent channels..and delicious..easy recipes! 2 Lovely Ladies..2 Lovely Channels!
We love Monkey Bread. I just made it for my grandson's 2nd birthday and Curious George birthday party. Amy's channel is awesome - I love her recipes, too.
mmm (: this is super yummy, i made this with a group of kids a camp(good recipe to do with little hands) and basically the kids would roll the biscut dough into little balls and it was so easy to pull apart... :D and was very fun to make...
@Fandrim I'm very sorry for this happening. If you look, you will see that the block user icon is immediately below the add friend one--I am guessing that I was aiming for one and hit the other one. I don't know what your other channel is, or I would unblock it right away. Could you let me know?

@thelaurels13 It's a lot, but probably not the worst you might find in sweet treat. I always limit myself to just a couple of pieces--that's only half a biscuit. It's just spread with butter and brown sugar!
in our market we dont have refrigerated biscuits, is there any substitution of that? we have Puff Pastry can i use it instead of refrigerated biscuits???
is the canned biscuits the same as the one is the thin plastic in the cold section at the grocery store. we don't have canned dough. is there a subsitution?
@chrissymoda They are soft, refrigerated biscuits. You may make your own biscuit doug, roll it out, and cut it into circles, and proceed from there. I do have a recipe for making biscuits in bettyskitchen.
Thanks Betty. This looks soooo goood!!!! You always come to my rescue. It looks so easy to make. Just found a dessert that I will be making for memorial day. Have a good one.

this may sound like a dumb question, but how do you serve this? Do you cut it into slices or do you pull pieces off of it? I've never had monkey bread before.
@stellaluna4u2 You use your hands to pull one of the biscuit pieces off. It comes off nicely with lots of caramel-walnut sauce. You can then place it on your plate, but most people just eat it after pulling off a piece!
I've made this before, but I've used frozen roll dough you find in the freezer section and I've just sprinkled pecans over it and it was so good, But I'm going to give this a try, cause it looks sooooo gooood!!!!
@Babidol63 That sounds even better--I like a yeast-y flavor! I have a recipe that uses a hot roll mix to make rolls, and then they get spiced and coated. Great comment Thanks!
Hi Betty! Thank you for sharing such a great recipe. I have a quick question, Do you have to use a bunt pan? I am planning on cooking this for my boyfriends mom while she's visiting this weekend. Thanks
@ishtinka9 Hi Cassandra! You can bake this bread in a regular pan, but, depending on the size of the pan, you may have to adjust the cooking time, and possibly have just one layer of spiced biscuit pieces topped with one layer of caramel-walnut sauce. Just keep an eye on it while it's baking, and you will be able to tell when it is done.
