The competitive is such a rip off of everything that the first resistance did not stand for. This game takes minimal skill beyond the basic steady shot and accuracy you need in all games. Weapons are pathetic and the iron sights ruined the gane imediately or at least completely changed to Resistance modern warfare 2

dam what a fucking good game. at first i can say that was immensely dissappointed with this game. the single player sucked and the graphics werent the best of the best. but after a while, the game just got better and better once i finally started rackin up the kills and when i found out that u appear on the enemies radar when u spprint. in the end all i can say is that u probably wont like the singleplayer but once u get good at competitive and co-op u will absoulutely lov this game! 9.3/10

no man, you cannot compare PC online to Xbox Live or PS3 online. Those are unified services whereas the PC obviously is not. Frankly I prefer unified services where you can easily keep track of your friends list and what games they are playing rather than only keeping track of when your friends are playing one particular game e.g. Counterstrike.
and seriously dude, you think Resistance 2 will be on PC, Gears of War 2 has been confirmed to be Xbox exclusive. Also certain games like driving and fighting games etc. are better on consoles. Another thing to point out is, why waste $2000 on a PC when some of those games like Oblivion and Fallout 3 are on consoles anyway? Sure PC almost always end up having superior graphics, but that beast of a machine you have now that can probably run Crysis at 200 FPS will be a camel in 2-3 years time.
I rather spend $700 bucks on a PS3 that will last 4-5 years and play everything then spend $1500-$2000 on a PC with the latest graphics card that can run Crysis at lighting speed, but will probably choke on Crysis 2, ROFL.

I'm in the uk, and I want to sell Lego starwars the complete saga, Pirates of the caribbean at worlds end, Transformers the game, Marvel ultimate alliance, and Iron Man all on the ps3, and I want to sell Pursuit force and Pirates of the Caribbean dead mans chest on psp. I tryed this at my mates place this arvo....and i have to say even on a standard definition tv, the visuals are jaw dropping, the MAssive hoards of beatifuly disgusting enemies make some of the most intense fights ive seen and the cut scenes and bosses are simply awsome.
Then we tryed online.... split screen online with up to 58 other players was insane, one of the best ive played in ages!!!

Personaly best online game what ive played this far is Batlefield:Bad company. Why is it good, cause you can wipe small town into pieces... well almost. Great fun indeed but i think resistance 2 is better with 60 player matches.

I have this game its TERRIBLE the online IS SO LAGGY IT TAKES LIKE almost an hour to get into a game I mean are you SERIOUS??!?! Im waiting for killzone 2 although i will defo pick this up soon! Part 1 was a very underrated game which i really enjoyed! I'm in the uk, and I want to sell Lego starwars the complete saga, Pirates of the caribbean at worlds end, Transformers the game, Marvel ultimate alliance, and Iron Man all on the ps3, and I want to sell Pursuit force and Pirates of the Caribbean dead mans chest on psp. I'm planning on getting cod5 and maybe another game like quantum of solace or mirrors edge.

I tryed this at my mates place this arvo....and i have to say even on a standard definition tv, the visuals are jaw dropping, the MAssive hoards of beatifuly disgusting enemies make some of the most intense fights ive seen and the cut scenes and bosses are simply awsome.
Then we tryed online.... split screen online with up to 58 other players was insane, one of the best ive played in ages!!!
Highly recomend to all who like EPICNESS!

Thats a tough one...Resistance 2 looks good online, although i havent played it yet. However, Farcry 2 is amazing, good story, good online. But other than that im not sure. Try Cod5 if you liked cod4

Personaly best online game what ive played this far is Batlefield:Bad company. Why is it good, cause you can wipe small town into pieces... well almost. Great fun indeed but i think resistance 2 is better with 60 player matches.

ive played every shooter game that is out on my ps3 and resistance 2 is second best to cod4. bad company would prolly come in 3rd, and metal gear online is slow and boring, unfortunately.

I hit my 360 when I get mad.. but it hasn't gotten the red ring of death, I hit my PS3 too, or I throw controllers.. same with my PSP and DS, that flies across the room a lot of times.

me too! I got pissed playing half life 2 off orange box on ps3, and I threw my controller really hard on the ground. I did the same on cod4s campaign (Second to last level on normal) and online too.

I have this game its TERRIBLE the online IS SO LAGGY IT TAKES LIKE almost an hour to get into a game I mean are you SERIOUS??!?! Ohh man the graphics are pretty terrible too it kind of looks like its being played on a mix between the gameboy color and the Nintendo 64 but slightly worse im serious DONT GET IT its terrible worst game of the year by far huge dissapointment.

Im waiting for killzone 2 although i will defo pick this up soon! Part 1 was a very underrated game which i really enjoyed! Its just that in the last 6 weeks ive bought dead space, LBP, Midnight club LA, Siren and PES 2009! I only want one new FPS and it was between Resistance, COD5 and killzone 2! I chose killzone 2 because the gameplay footage looks out of this world!

why do people compare this to gears when they have nothing in common R2 is an FPS game and gears is a 3rd person duck and cover game the only thing they have in common is the 18 age rating

dont get warhawk, theres not alot of players anymore and if you wanna play with people that play warhawk you need to buy the maps which cost like 7-10 bucks if you wanna play with the people online, and warhawk is a hard game since it dosent have a tutorial and you wont be able to find a good room full of people where you can all play and have fun because theres not that much players anymore. Get Resistance 2 it really is a shining exclusive for ps3 everyone that owns a ps3 should get this game
