The WB states that Pakistan will achieve 4% growth this year (India already downgraded itself to less than 7%) but the PAK government admits we lose about 3 to 4% growth every year because of a lack of investment in the energy infrastructure which is the result of the gov. not collecting enough taxes to supplement the losses incurred from the war raging in Afghanistan and along the border.

Literacy rate difference is mostly due to the tribal regions along the Afghan border and areas of Balochistan who are still better than many parts of Bharat but also explain our poverty figures are even as high as they are.

In India poverty rate is high, because no matter how much we spend on removing poverty, its very very hard to manage such a huge population and it requires huge investment. In India, as students we learned that the undivided India had a glorious past such as Indus valley civilization, the vedic age, the Mughals, the Gupta age, Budha, King Ashoka and some of the fantastic Mughal rulers like Akbar to name a few. Pakistanis on the other hand are suffering from a major identity crisis.

Interesting thing is Buddhist and Hindu didn't challenge by war rather by philosophy challenge, convincing people. As a result Hinduism has to be restructured and Ram, Krishna emerged as more attractive.India is unique and great country

You can Google regarding growth of GDP of both the countries etc. Literacy in India is at 74% while its 62% in Pakistan. But you win! India has a poverty level of 39% while its 19 % in Pakistan, smile now! :D Now let me explain the reason for poverty at least 5% which comes from Bangladesh through our eastern corridor. Otherwise we would have been at 34% still bad! But remember our population first :D

Literacy rate difference is mostly due to the tribal regions along the Afghan border and areas of Balochistan who are still better than many parts of Bharat but also explain our poverty figures are even as high as they are.

In India poverty rate is high, because no matter how much we spend on removing poverty, its very very hard to manage such a huge population and it requires huge investment. It came down from 64% to 39% since 1947 which is slow.

Your army has always been over 4 times larger while your population has been over 10 times larger affording you a far larger military budget and even with that said in '65 the war was fought to a standstill and in '47 we won but were stupid for listening to the UN. In his bio USAF Gen. (ret'd) Chuck Yeager stated that in '71 Pak's air force vastly outnumbered had a 3:1 kill ratio - you won the war b/c of betrayal in Bangladesh - you can't win 1:1

You are also referencing the '71 war totally ignoring the '65 war and forgetting that the USSR openly supported you in '71 (Russian television actually talks about this) while the US placed sanctions on us in both those wars and your own media now confirms that the US vowed to back India if China came to the assistance of Pakistan and this is on top of Bharat having a 10 times larger population with an almost equivalent GDP/capita

@manhornz We lost badly to China because our leaders were ASSHOLES then who sacrificed our soldiers in the battlefield with no preparation at all. But I think it was a lesson and we have improved a lot since then. I wonder what led to think that 65 was a draw. Anyway when a war happens someone has to loose. There is nothing shameful in it. It takes courage to wage a war anyway. The Chinese war was a kick which made us build our army as one of the strongest in the world.

@GenghisTemudgin Speaking of lives being cheap. How about the way young girls and women are treated by extreme lunatics saying they speak for Muslims? India has issues, they are working on it, somewhat. However, Islamic countries seem to be shifting back to the dark ages.I can't think of any other culture in the world that thinks stoning a ten year old girl in the name of a God that may or may not exist is a good and honorable thing to do.

Its a matter of great pain to get contents passed through stringent Wikipedia Quality test. Let it be our win or our loss, Wikipedia is a genuine source of information.
