dangt dude.... i am an EMT and i absolutely get frustrated with people being unaware of what to do when an Emergency vehicle gets close..... if you are in the middle of an intersection continue through and pull to the right. if not stop and stay where you are at............
also it is true that you have to request the Right Of Way, However in Florida its Law that you have to yeild to a Mergency vehicle when they are responding to a call "lights and siren must be on" However the second someone hits you or vise versa and they die.. its your fault as the EVD until proven other wise.

One of our units got hit in Las Vegas by some teen talking on his cell phone, and his parents sued our Ambulance service because their dumb kid didn't yield at an intersection to an emergency vehicle.
@wrxracer13 YA i agree with you, but as a code 3 driver you have to be 10x more aware of whats going on and taking the extra time to get there safe. Because for some reason people miss the flassing light the sierns and horns. Im shocked how many times im in the fire truck and people just dont care to stop or even slightly move.

I've pulled over for emergency vehicles coming up behind me but was almost always slowed in doing so because the guy on the right stopped. it should be "pull as far to the right as possible and go no faster than 15 mph. in heavy traffic situations it's damn near impossible to get Lane 1 cleared because of the current law
