Thats great playing, ill try and get your video up on my tin whistle site.... whistleaway . com . If any of you whistlers out there have a blog or website, id love if you could tell evryone about my tin whistle site.
boeseskittekatty, if you took the time to actually read, he's responding to many questions (which is a GOOD thing) and also he has to deal with people who are claiming that he's not actualy playing... which he is. He runs the website whistlethis, so he obviously cares about answering peoples Q's
This is my Burke Brass Pro Sessioner in the key of D. It has a very pure tone -- a bit like a band instrument. Copelands have more of a flute-like quality -- I'm using my Copeland here: watch?v=VwzM4X4s3eE
hey comment me back. i have the same mic and im using adobe audition. i was wondering if you know how to make the recorded music play out of the headphones/speakers
I'm using Audition 2.0, so I can do EDIT->Audio Hardware Setup and set the default playback/recording devices. It's something similar for earlier versions where you can set the order of the playback/recording devices. I can't remember exactly where, though.
If only you knew what the hell you were talking about -- check my profile and you'll see about 15 other tunes I've played. Including a redux of this one. Do a bit of research before you embarrass yourself next time. :)
I know a recording when I hear one. Your fingers match the notes ok I suppose, but the music is coming off of a CD player or karaoke machine. Research isn't neccessary, all one need do is listen
Maybe if you READ the description -- I'm using a condensor microphone and ported the audio through Adobe Audition for post production. Hell, the same thing can be done automatically with Mac's Garage Band recorder.
You have no clue what you're talking about. I have 15+ other recordings of *just* me playing, or I've found some magical karioke stash of obscure Irish tunes for which I've learned the exact fingerings, but for some reason decide not to actually put air through the instrument.
easy you two. he IS infact playing it, it would be really odd if he posted 15+ videos of himself not playing a whole bunch of recordings of tinwhistle songs. just think... why would he do that? why?
In your defense, however, I can see how it looks fake. he's recording into a mic and then adding reverb which makes it sound better, but its just odd to look at because of the reverb. Naturally, our brains comprehend it as fake.
i was looking for something from an dochas, and i came across this. i just keep running into you lol. i know an dochas from myspace, they are one of my friends.
this is great!you play beautifully

are you experiencing delay in adobe audition when you use the CO1U samson mic?
Like when you record with metronome and then play it again it sounds off?
Nice song btw :)

I wish I could get reverb effects into my videos. I have everything you have, even the C01U, but I can't figure this out.
