  • this is great!you play beautifully

  • are you experiencing delay in adobe audition when you use the CO1U samson mic?

Like when you record with metronome and then play it again it sounds off?

    Nice song btw :)

  • very nice!

  • That music... so beautiful... can't resist watching. @.@

  • can u send me the notes please x

  • Man, the only thing I wish for these videos is that they get longer... they're already cool.

  • Fully awesome. Thanks for another great vid.

  • hey An Dochas? I know those guys (a couple of 'em anyway)

  • That's one of the tunes they do, yeah.. I like their music, for sure.

  • Grand Playing - Very Nice--

    jim,,,,

  • bravo!!!!!!!!! I enjoyed watching and hearing you play. xxx lisette, from the Netherlands

  • Yeah !! Luv it^^

  • EXCELLENT!!

  • sounds good.

  • I wish I could get reverb effects into my videos. I have everything you have, even the C01U, but I can't figure this out.

  • i believe he's recording to a program like audacity, and then adding reverb there.

  • that shits great dont listen no no fucker who dosent appreciate your music!!

  • Amazing job. I want to learn how to play one of those.

  • excelent!! add to my favorites, the best version .

  • Thanks!

  • boeseskittekatty, if you took the time to actually read, he's responding to many questions (which is a GOOD thing) and also he has to deal with people who are claiming that he's not actualy playing... which he is. He runs the website whistlethis, so he obviously cares about answering peoples Q's

  • I hate stupid people... I blocked her anyway.

  • cool very nice sound!

but the funny thing is this guy is adding more comments than those wathching his vids :D

  • no hes not...??

  • no he aint! why are there that many yellow parts in da comments, ah yes cuz he aint writing!

  • Is this your Copeland? In what key? Sounds wonderful.

  • This is my Burke Brass Pro Sessioner in the key of D. It has a very pure tone -- a bit like a band instrument. Copelands have more of a flute-like quality -- I'm using my Copeland here: watch?v=VwzM4X4s3eE

  • hey comment me back. i have the same mic and im using adobe audition. i was wondering if you know how to make the recorded music play out of the headphones/speakers

  • I'm using Audition 2.0, so I can do EDIT->Audio Hardware Setup and set the default playback/recording devices. It's something similar for earlier versions where you can set the order of the playback/recording devices. I can't remember exactly where, though.

  • Nice man, that shit sounds great.

  • yeah, too bad he's not actually playing it...

  • If only you knew what the hell you were talking about -- check my profile and you'll see about 15 other tunes I've played. Including a redux of this one. Do a bit of research before you embarrass yourself next time. :)

  • I know a recording when I hear one. Your fingers match the notes ok I suppose, but the music is coming off of a CD player or karaoke machine. Research isn't neccessary, all one need do is listen

  • Maybe if you READ the description -- I'm using a condensor microphone and ported the audio through Adobe Audition for post production. Hell, the same thing can be done automatically with Mac's Garage Band recorder.

You have no clue what you're talking about. I have 15+ other recordings of *just* me playing, or I've found some magical karioke stash of obscure Irish tunes for which I've learned the exact fingerings, but for some reason decide not to actually put air through the instrument.

  • easy you two. he IS infact playing it, it would be really odd if he posted 15+ videos of himself not playing a whole bunch of recordings of tinwhistle songs. just think... why would he do that? why?

In your defense, however, I can see how it looks fake. he's recording into a mic and then adding reverb which makes it sound better, but its just odd to look at because of the reverb. Naturally, our brains comprehend it as fake.

  • thats great, i attempt a guitar version of this but it needs some polish, i'm inspired to work on this one and will post it again soon, cheers Jim

  • Thanks -- just did a new version... check my profile, it's a little more cleaned and has a second song added to the set.

  • schöööööööön!

  • perfect

  • i was looking for something from an dochas, and i came across this. i just keep running into you lol. i know an dochas from myspace, they are one of my friends.

  • Great mic! It really makes this song sound great.

  • k you just sold it, I'm selling this mic.. Oh yeah, nice tune lol :P 5/5
