The only part that didn't really seem to make sense was when he stated that the occupy wallstreet movement had been infiltrated by government which I see no evidence for. You don't have to be the government to be anti-capitalist.
@TheNeodoxian No, just that or ignorant of history & reality.
Government (that is coercion & forced participation/association) is necessary for any other kind of socioeconomic system. You can't be anti-capitalist & anti-government at the same time.
The good judge seems to be considering an anarchic (voluntary and un-coercive) system. Your not the first Judge, but I'd be glad to see you see the light.
What if politicians restricted themselves to making statements of fact -- each of which they had to back up with evidence before proceeding to the next? What if they refrained from citing issues whose only value was to stir emotional responses from their listeners? What if they didn't insinuate that those they want to replace made bad choices when they themselves realize they would have done and will continue to do the same?
The Senate is set to vote on a bill next week S.1867. The bill was drafted in secret by Senators Carl Levin & John McCain, before being passed in a closed-door committee meeting without any kind of hearing. that “basically says in law for the first time that the homeland is part of the battlefield,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who supports the bill. The militarized Police State is almost here just as Ron Paul and the Judge has warned. The government has declared war on Americans!

Observation: Govts take money from everyone, & give it to everyone. Our govt takes money from the top 50% & gives it to everyone. Rep do want to broaden the tax base with a sales or flat tax, which is much in line with what Euro govts have been doing, & it's obvious as to why Dems oppose this. Democrats want the money from "greedy" people and cant get elected by broadening the tax base to the poor.
Looking at global trends, all States end up in the same way, even if they are on the right.
What if all this? Well, it comes down to what Mickey Malone said in The Untouchables,
What are we prepared to do?
Are we willing to put Democrats to death, including their children? Because that is what it's going to take. They will not stop. Ever. Until they are dead.
Because you see, they think what they are doing is right and noble. There is only one solution.
@WyldeMax Now, before you all jump the gun, I want you to understand me. Right now, you can't change their minds. There is no changing their minds. We're talking about people who have placed their hopes, THEIR HOPES, into the government.
There is no persuading them. There is only defeat for them, and it will, most assuredly, come down to violence. They think the rest of us are evil for not accepting their solutions.
@WyldeMax Most of your comment is reasonable, but when you talk about killing children for the 'sins of their fathers' or the preemptive elimination of (possible future) opposition you sound like any religious fundamentalist, warmonger, etc, pushing violence as the only solution.
People aren't afraid to talk about anything. In defense of life & liberty I doubt there are many who would balk at violence, but individuals who subscribe to live & let live philosophies are necessarily non-aggressive.
Tell me. How do you handle someone who believes it's right to steal from you to provide for others on the basis they have less then you? How do you convince them they are wrong when they believe all right and wrong is relative? There is ONLY one way. Sorry if you don't like it, but that is the way of the universe.
And, one day, preferably sooner than later, you shall come to that conclusion.
@WyldeMax As I said, most of what you wrote makes sense. It's the part about killing peoples children where you go off the rails.
The need to defend the sovereignty of ones own life will never justify aggression against others. Violence against those who aggress against you is wholly different from killing anyone who disagrees with you.
Once you have decided, (that's decided, not concluded) to aggress against others to get your way, you have become the very thing you are supposedly fighting.
@WyldeMax Your response expresses a great deal of justifiable anger, but a lack of calm consideration. You can only see good things; well that's all the Bolsheviks could see as well, and look how that ended up.
To answer your question; The very argument that those who would by force, prevent me from determining the course of my own life are reprehensible, is the very reason why I should never behave as they do. Then I have become just as reprehensible.
Because at what point does the distinction between what one faction does as opposed to another become moot. When the enemy is at your gates, willing to kill you because you disagree with them, why should you offer any quarter? To be better? We are not gods. And on some level while we can be better than the animal nature, at the same time we mustn't let those who wish to be animals harm us.
@WyldeMax If at the end you have become your enemy it is a pyrrhic victory, which is really no victory at all. This is the reason that most violent revolutions (in fact arguably all but one) end up replacing one for of tyranny with another.
I mean if you are willing to 'be no better' than your aggressors, to in fact become just like them, then how have you not been harmed? What are you even still fighting for?
@UtubeMyAccountName In war, nobody cares about being "better" than the enemy. Victory is all that matters. True, it's better to be on a greater moral plane, but in the end, it is the Victors who write the history.
So be it if I am no better than my enemy. At least my side wins. And I know what my side is for.
Now, you might think that's wrong, but I guarantee you that the enemy doesn't see it that way. For him, it's all or nothing. On some level, we have to play that way too.
...but again children are not enemy combatants, aggression in the face of simple disagreement is neither defense nor defensible, morality is irrelevant, everybody believes theirs is the side of the angels (even atheists).
Also, it matters a great deal what sort of political system is in place in society; it is this more than anything else which causes & perpetuates most social conflicts in the first place.
Take the Battle of Gaugamela. A small force of roughly 40,000 Macedonians against 400,000 Persians. Yet, Alexander was able to decimate this army. Why? Because Quality always beats Quantity. Truth is on our side. The Quality of the Conservative side is superior because we are more self-sufficient, capable, and resilient to the toils of conflict. We will win. And for us, it doesn't matter what kind of govt rules.
@UtubeMyAccountName cont... I mean, after all, who is it we're talking about? Derelicts. Parasites. And Control Freaks of the worst kind. I can forgive a Priest or a minister who wants only that we be better than our animal selves. But I can't forgive an enemy, yes an enemy, who truly doesn't care about what society must do in order to sustain him and his lifestyle. Because he is an enemy. He is an enemy of Humanity. Humans work. Parasites feed off the productive. What do you do?
@UtubeMyAccountName Here's something more. The degenerates who protested at OWS deserve no sympathy, but only ridicule and suffering. Nothing is worse than these reprobates. These are the scum who demand that society owes them a living. They are worse than panhandlers. These scumbags would use the power of a mob to fleece you and me for the sake of their own wellbeing. Why do you consider their lives valuable? I don't. For the sake of the future and the nation, kill them all.
@WyldeMax You drop to another's level and play by their rules, eg round em up and do away with em, what they've tried to do to anyone that thinks different for years and years ( republicans too) through governance.. and you're no different than they are.
@WyldeMax And my argument is that you do just as much to destroy freedom by advocating attacking and killing those that would take your freedom. I don't propose giving in, or going along to get along... just don't think that bloody revolution is ever really the answer in the end.. It has been a necessary evil in the past, and will be in the future, but should always be a very last resort. As far in the shit as we are we still have a large number of ways to climb out without shedding blood.
@daPlumber702 Violence works every single time it's tried. Time for it. Time for them to come to an end. We can even appeal to their progressive side to things. After all, isn't it the strong who's fit to survive. Even as we execute their diseased brats in front of them, shall we show them the error of their ways, and acknowledge our superiority, OR, resort to the animals that they are, which deserve death anyway. I'm tired of these reprobates.
@WyldeMax Violence doesn't work "every time". Socialism is based off of revolutions. The whole idea was to get the working class to revolt against their governments. Lenin made this a regular practice. Hitler also loved play on peoples zeal. You want to fight? work, vote, contribute, speak... Don't come off as some fascist, will to power, nut job.
@MRKetter81 Violence does work, and it isn't limited to fascists. Do you think the minutemen in Lexington and Concord thought that violence wasn't the answer? I'm sorry, but this is precisely what the enemy wants you to think precisely because they are afraid we will. By rights, we should've fifty years ago, back when it was exposed that the Democrats knowingly had Soviet spies at the highest levels of their administrations. A civilized country would've used them as examples.
@daPlumber702 Maybe I do, but consider that tactics the enemy uses can be used by our side. Why not!
Why do you insist on being morally better when, in the end, it doesn't matter?
Because the victors get to write the history. The victors earn the spoils. Our enemy is going to give no quarter because they deem us weak. Time to destroy all of them, to bring them to their knees, begging and sobbing, until we put an end to them and their ilk. ONCE AND FOR ALL.
Judge Napolitano needs to be a moderator at all of the presidential debates, especially those next year with Prezbident Obongo, His Marxist Excellency. :p
fair enough. But I do not think we fully understand what it is to be the one to govern something. Making the right decision will have more far reaching consequences than almost any decision made at a board room. There is difficulty in making national decisions.
Government suits are as bad as corporate suits. But the difference is the mentality. Board room mentality seconds everything to the almight dollar. Profit is more important than all, yourself included.
Electing a president will not suffice. You need a right-wing majority in both houses that doesn't engage in Boehner-compromises.
The president is actually the weakest leverage to change. He can only veto legislation and that won't rescue America since the entilements are on autopilot. Fixing the gas pedal in place won't help if you are already on the way to run off a cliff. Maybe someone charismatic can build a majority? I don't see one, yet.
@ToxinalX All true. But that in itself won't reduce spending. It will just free up money for congress to spend on other things. And the existing departments and agencies can be bound by laws to do stupid stuff. That's why I think it won't suffice. It's to be considered when electing a president, but it's not enough, imho.
@ToxinalX Maybe so. But I have the feeling this works only if it's a democratic president expanding the welfare state. Reagan wasn't able to do all the things the people liked. He only got bad deals from a Democratic Congress.
And remember the Supreme Court hearings. If it's a crazy progressive - immediate pass. If it's a constitutionalist - vicious attacks, delays, filibusters.
And constitutionalist presidents are more likely not to use dictatorial powers...
@scepticsteve I hear you. Reagans goals where also a lot smaller than Ron Pauls.
I didn't exactly mean that Paul should actually use dictatorial powers, but rather that he should try to stop some of the illegal things that are happening.
Perhaps he can at least stop the war and take away those dictatorial powers.
It would be hard to accomplish further change from there on, but that would at least be a start.
This is probably the best summing up of our problems I've ever heard, not just in the US but also here in the UK, and one of the best cases for libertarianism in existence, thankyou.
Guvment is today a kleptocracy that protects itself as a corporation does. It is ever increasing on size, budget and scope of intrusion into our lives. Big leviathan must be cut back or we fail.
The institution of government contract marriage is to control people. Take the guvment out of marriage and use personal contract with individuals as it should be. This is Ron Pauls stance as well.
@agumon12 Uhh... You do realize that that's the entire point of these "What if" segments, right? He knows that it's all happening and that's the point. It gets people thinking about it grouped together set in his terms instead of being individual items that people can rationalize away. In this format they get confronted with the tyranny as one big, interwoven package and can't so easily dismiss it.
Damn you Ron Paul, you look so appealing up front, but you're okay with the provinces taking away rights, and getting rid of the troops in red zones such as S. Korea.
@Dontwantlove in my travels I've often quite suggested a Judge Andrew Napolitano presidency and to my surprise the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
General Washington had to be persuaded, perhaps we will have to do the same with the Judge.
The Judge needs to run. Not only are his views right, he does such a great job articulating them. He is intelligent, compassionate, passionate and has the conviction to win over others.
He would destroy Obama in a debate. The only issue is that you can NOT unwind the damage that the government has done overnight. And the people MUST realize that the damage has been done and a price has to be paid. There is the crux of the problem. Unwinding the damage of theft.
@666sigma "Not only are his views right, he does such a great job articulating them. He is intelligent, compassionate, passionate and has the conviction to win over others."
Does this include his "Marriage is a contract between two people" arguments? See, I think some of his arguments are B.S. because marriage isn't a contract, it's a sacrament. But the U.S. Constitution doesn't say anything about marriage so he interprets it as a contract but that's an invalid argument. Opinion?
What if we are all F$%#% up because of the excessive bureaucracy?...oh wait a minute...we are, my bad, just keep moving in line people nothing to see here.

Even as we execute their diseased brats in front of them, shall we show them the error of their ways, and acknowledge our superiority, OR, resort to the animals that they are, which deserve death anyway. I'm tired of these reprobates.
WyldeMax 2 months ago
@WyldeMax Violence doesn't work "every time". Socialism is based off of revolutions. The whole idea was to get the working class to revolt against their governments. Lenin made this a regular practice. Hitler also loved play on peoples zeal. You want to fight? work, vote, contribute, speak... Don't come off as some fascist, will to power, nut job.
MRKetter81 2 months ago
@MRKetter81 Violence does work, and it isn't limited to fascists. Do you think the minutemen in Lexington and Concord thought that violence wasn't the answer? I'm sorry, but this is precisely what the enemy wants you to think precisely because they are afraid we will. By rights, we should've fifty years ago, back when it was exposed that the Democrats knowingly had Soviet spies at the highest levels of their administrations. A civilized country would've used them as examples.
WyldeMax 2 months ago
@daPlumber702 Maybe I do, but consider that tactics the enemy uses can be used by our side. Why not!
Why do you insist on being morally better when, in the end, it doesn't matter?
Because the victors get to write the history. The victors earn the spoils. Our enemy is going to give no quarter because they deem us weak. Time to destroy all of them, to bring them to their knees, begging and sobbing, until we put an end to them and their ilk. ONCE AND FOR ALL.

If Ron Paul is elected I foresee him having a lot of trouble getting his agenda passed even through a republican controlled house and senate.

@rockinandout Four years of a government doing nothing is a hell of a lot better than four years of a government doing 'something'. If nothing else.
Panpiper 2 months ago
@Panpiper the problem is that while government is doing nothing it is also growing, borrowing more, and passing new regulations

@ToxinalX
fair enough.
Profit is more important than all, yourself included.
toraktorak 2 months ago
@toraktorak Aristocracy is still alive and breathing in washington D.C.
ToxinalX 2 months ago
Electing a president will not suffice. You need a right-wing majority in both houses that doesn't engage in Boehner-compromises.
The president is actually the weakest leverage to change. He can only veto legislation and that won't rescue America since the entilements are on autopilot. Fixing the gas pedal in place won't help if you are already on the way to run off a cliff. Maybe someone charismatic can build a majority? I don't see one, yet.
scepticsteve 2 months ago
@scepticsteve The president can choose to veto new bills and *stop* doing things that he had not right to do.
He could also, if supported by the people, suggest that certain *already illegal* departments be eliminated without the congress agreement.
ToxinalX 2 months ago
@ToxinalX All true. But that in itself won't reduce spending. It will just free up money for congress to spend on other things. And the existing departments and agencies can be bound by laws to do stupid stuff. That's why I think it won't suffice. It's to be considered when electing a president, but it's not enough, imho.
scepticsteve 2 months ago
@scepticsteve Absolutely. But then you could focus on holding social security together for those who need it.
Also, The President already have *dictatorial powers*, he can basically do anything. If the people is with him, I believe he can do a whole lot.
ToxinalX 2 months ago
@ToxinalX Maybe so. But I have the feeling this works only if it's a democratic president expanding the welfare state. Reagan wasn't able to do all the things the people liked. He only got bad deals from a Democratic Congress.
And remember the Supreme Court hearings. If it's a crazy progressive - immediate pass. If it's a constitutionalist - vicious attacks, delays, filibusters.
And constitutionalist presidents are more likely not to use dictatorial powers...
I hope you're right, though.
scepticsteve 2 months ago

Big leviathan must be cut back or we fail.
dd00hli 2 months ago
The institution of government contract marriage is to control people. Take the guvment out of marriage and use personal contract with individuals as it should be. This is Ron Pauls stance as well.
dd00hli 2 months ago
Um....... so he wants a world controlled by corporations?
Becuase there is either governmental control or corporate control.
Atleast the governement can be somewaht held responsible for their actions if we bitch enough.
CORPORATIONS DO WHAT THEY PLEASE AFTER THEY MAKE IT TO A CERTAIN PROFIT MARGIN.
I would trust a government entity over some industrialist's gang of friends
toraktorak 2 months ago
@toraktorak He want's the people to be in controll of the goverment. Government is ment to protect YOU, not itself.
ToxinalX 2 months ago
@toraktorak umm the problem with that is that the industrialist's gang of friends are the politicians and the public offices. sooo...
remember this. only the government can legally, kill steal and destroy. you don't think the corporations haven't bought out that power

Korea.

Opinion?
DOHC2L 2 months ago
@DOHC2L
The difference between contract and sacrament is religion. You think God stands between two people. He thinks it is human commitment.
