Green is expending energy in the form of muscle power to force the horseshoe collar to keep a certain distance from the spinning top. Slight fluctuations between the distances of the horseshoe and the spinning top allow the top to spin. Muscle energy is driving the process. There are two Pictures of the Alien Woman. One of them is fake, from a show in the '50s. The other one is supposely the real thing. If you look and compare the fake and real, they're DIFFERENT. Electromagnetism is far more complex than this. Creating a perpetual motion machine with magnets is not possible, because eventually entropy is reached and the machine will stop moving. Then, an outside energy will be necessary make the machine run again.

Good heavens, did anybody here do physics at school? It's turned by the minor movements of his hands as he holds the large ring. There being a very small point of contact between the bearing and the surface, there is very little friction to overcome in order to keep it spinning.

I did something like that with two CD's with magnets glued to them. I could make the bottom one spin, like he did the ball, but, you have to wiggle the top one to make it keep spinning. Watch closely, you can see him wiggling the top set of magnets. The energy to make the ball spin comes from his hand, not the magnets. (that's why the peices are not mounted) If they were mounted, the bottom magnet would turn once and stop spinning.

I recommend you purchase some magnets and try it for yourself. This example being shown here is quite crude and far more convincing to me for just that reason. You can be anybody and replicate this, no need for an engineering degree.
