Flames at Red Wings- Amazing Finish PLUS Full Shootout 3/12/2009

Heh, this was 08-09...the Wings were so sloppy that year. Their Cup hangover took the form of weird, weird games like this...a 7-6 OT loss to the Penguins...getting outshot like, 50-20 by Dallas in one of the most frustrating games I've ever seen.

yeah this was the ultimate flames team. they had cammalleri, iginla, jokinen all playing very well, as well as bertuzzi, langkow and bourque for a second line, as well as glencross on their third with some strong young players like boyd and lombardi (til he was traded), and they still had phaneuf on the blue line to lay out some huge hits along with adrian audcoin with the bomb shot and the reliable regehr... what a team that was. too bad injuries hit them hard before the first rnd.

I was at this game. As a Wings fan, I was disappointed in my fellow Wings fan because soo many left the arena with 4 minutes to go when detroit had a 4-2 lead...they sure missed a finish.... but when the Red Wings tied it up at 5-5.. the place was going nutz.... i have been to many wings games... that was one of the best atmospheres at the joe ever

Man I was the happiest flames fan ever this night. The refs were ridiculously biased towards the red wings. The flames had like 30 penalty minutes in the first including 5 minutes of 5 on 3 and they came back and won. It was funny when Vandermeer owned Franzen..Franzen is such a pansy. he goes down after 1 shot everytime he gets involved in a scrum. And why does Hudler shoot? Do people actually think hes good? He looks half asian lol
