  • Where are the shots of Homeland Security's picture taking and helicopter? They were there in force.....One took my picture so I smiled and took one of him.......I don't think he liked that too much.......what a day! All of us redneck conservatives really came out of the woodwork in one of the most liberal towns in America.....FYI this was NOT a partisan rally.....just a bunch of pissed off citizens who KNOW their government is no longer THEIRS.

  • God Bless the Patriots of Portland Oregon ! ! !

I am so inspired by this video and the people of Oregon ! ! !

We are in the middle of a major fight to

    save our Country .

    "In God We Still Trust."

  • The Tea Party Express on October 30th was good. Let's keep up the pressure for America's Freedom.

BTW, I made the sign at 1:14. "> $12 Trillion New Debt. So simple, a Congress can do it!"

  • When is the next one going to be??

  • endlessskyhd,

    Thanks for posting this video.

The mainstream media has really done a number on the public's perception of the Tea Parties. It's downright shameful what they've done.

VoidMaid's comments are the product of the mainstream (liberal) media's deliberate misinformation and distortion of the actual intention of the Tea Parties.

  • Ohhh....I see, well I am sorry for wasting your (and my) time then. I already posted responses to some your comments, but please just ignore them.

  • I asked you several questions designed to provoke your thought processes and allow you to connect the dots, just as many of us already have. You may answer them and you can also ignore them.

It's really up to you if you want to apply yourself and try to understand. Judging by your vocabulary and usage of the English language, I doubt that you are unable to comprehend these things. I detect an unwillingness.

  • Okay I'm confused, what is this 'tea party' supposed to be about again? Is it about: how income tax is bad, how Republicans are awesome, how the federal bailout is bad, or is it just a chance to be angry?

You don't say what it is about in the the video text, and the signs in the audience are way to varied to make a judgment. Plus the speakers didn't actually say anything beyond 'we aren't gonna take it anymore!'

So you may have just begun, but what exactly are you are beginning?

  • Yes, you're confused.

Many protested Bush's out-of-control spending during his 2 administrations, and I assume you're not confused about that.

Why is it that you're confused about Obama's administration quadrupling the nation debt?

~$12 trillion dollars doesn't scare the pants off of you?

    You are confused.

  • I don't believe my comment included a personal judgment about the Bush administartion, the Obama administration, or the national deficit, so don't assume whether or not my pants have been sacred off.

My point is that I see a mob of upset people, and I can not make a specific judgment about what they are so upset about. From your comment one could assume this protest was in reaction to the increases national debt. However, from almartin77's comment you could assume it was about taxes.

  • I just want to be clear on what primary issue this specific event is addressing, and if the other 'tea parties' are also addressing the same primary issue.

  • You keep pretending you don't understand the 'primary issue'. The original Boston Tea Party and April 15th should be a dead giveaway if you're a thinking American.

  • I am NOT pretending I don't understand anything. Obviously there is an underlying theme of economics and the federal government's abuse or mismanagement of it, but that doesn't really tell me what the actual issue is or how you want it to be addressed. If the Boston Tea Party and April 15th are the important dates to consider, then I would assume the issue is federal tax related. Yet you keep bringing up the national debt which, although related, is not the same issue.

  • VoidMaid,

I already posted questions to provoke you to thought. These are all interrelated and mutually self-supporting issues.

    - Taxpayers will end up footing the bill for the federal bailouts

    - The financial burden of Obama's massing spending is laid upon taxpayers, their children, and grandchildren.

    - Rapid government expansion results in new and higher taxes

    - The current rate of government spending results in tax increases

    - The government should be of, for, and by the people

  • Just to be clear, I said national debt, not "national deficit".

The "national deficit" is the federal government budget deficit. This is not the national debt.

With that out of the way I must ask you:

    - Who will end up footing the bill for the federal bailouts?

    - Where does the money come from?

    - Does rapid government expansion result in higher taxes?

    - Does the current rate of government spending result in higher taxes?

    - Are you a taxpayer?

    - Is the government of, for, and by the people?

  • Sorry I missed typed.

  • I didn't have accurate numbers:

Bush added ~$5 trillion to the national debt. When he left office, the national debt was at $10.7 trillion.

Under Obama's admin, we expect to it up to $14 trillion next year and by 2013 it will be up to $17.1 trillion.

I was hasty to say "quadruples" and 12 trillion.

Yes, 12 trillion is alarming, but 17.1 trillion is more accurate.

  • The American people dont realize that they have enslaved themselves. When American "juries" stop sending citizens who refuse to pay the income tax to prison, then and only then will Americans be free. The American people will never see change until they understand that they must (with respect to the income tax), always vote NOT GUILTY in the jury box!! w w w . t r u t h a t t a ck . o r g

  • Yikes...

  • I was there! Great job to all the organizers, and to Mark for making this video! It was an AWESOME experience to be there!! And, guess what? It was completely peaceful unlike liberal protests we see with violent displays.

  • Fantastic job on the editing. That was a great rally. I hope Washington is listening!

  • Thanks for the kind comments from everyone. Please share this with everyone you know.

    Best

    Mark
