i saw this when movie it first came out i was about 15 and this at the time was the most original horror film that i had ever seen.everyone was talking about freddy.now this is still one of my all time favorites.robert englund was legendary as freddy and i always loved john saxon.this is a movie that should not have never been remade.i mean why bother ?

The decade has sucked. Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Hills have eyes, The Last house on the left, Prom night, My bloody Valentine. The list goes on and on of horror remakes in the last decade. Between 1973-1984 was a great time for horror movies. The Exorcist, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, Friday the 13th, The Evil dead, An American Werewolf in London, Sleepaway camp, Poltergeist, A Nightmare on Elm street.

The new F13 was exactly the same as every other F13 movie after the first one. It wasn't even a remake of the first one, which could have been good. It was just generic "Jason going around killing everything that moves". At least the new Halloween movies are doing something different, those ones are decent.

The new F13's Jason was vicious. He set traps and was a lot craftier then the old Jason. The new Michael Myers is tall as fuck and that's about the only thing going for him, because Myers was evil, not from a broken home with a stripper mom and a drunken old stepdad. Rob Zombie went way too overboard with it, and it dumbed down Myers' evil to just "insanity".

I know horror, dude. My all time favorite genre since I was in kindergarten.

I thought that the reboot was pretty true to the original CONCEPT. It covered many unanswered questions and many that may never have been asked.

If you are already looking for flaws in the new Nightmare reboot based on Friday the 13th, then I think you are being close minded. How was 2008 Jason so different then he was in the past? How does this effect the Nightmare reboot?

Even Englund believes that Haley will bring forth the real demon that Kruger was meant to be. I do, too. I'm no sheep...

my first horror movie that i remember, was Tremors, now i finally collected the set XD. then there was Alien, Predator, Hellraiser, the new nightmare was the first freddy i ever saw. as far as remakes go, Robert is giving this new kid a shot. "he holds onto you like a chihuahua at the door" if he is givin it a honest shot, so should we. but we are all in agreement, robert is the best freddy ever, and that the originals are always better.
