  • Thanks for the great video, man. It's too bad you are receiving so much negative feedback as a result of trying to help us all out in making informed decisions and expectations. I already ordered a Cold Steel SRK about a week ago - but the San Mai III version, But this video was still quite helpful. It's a clever idea to do a comparison of knives that have been used as opposed to brand new ones. A knife shouldn't perform well only for the first few uses. Good job.

  • I have the version previous to the elite and it is RAZOR sharp, my friend has the SRK and after 4 hours of hard use the blade became wobbly. In my book the SOG wins.

  • While I have never actually used that specific knife, I have alot of experience with aus 6 steel and I know it can get sharper than that

  • SHAROEN YOUR KNIFE YOU FOOL! I CUT THROUGH A HOSE WITH MY SOG LIKE BUTTER! Plus my friend has an SRK and we went camping, the blade got wobbly after 3 hours of hard use....

  • @DukeOfTennessee117 What version of SOG do you have? If you missed it the first HUNDRED times I was using the version previous to the Elite. If you have the Elite then you have hands on experience and credibility. If you didn't even know there was a model before the Elite then choose your words more carefully since you're most likely the fool.

  • @envirosponsible I DO NOT have the elite, i have the re-designed SOG seal pup, but it ISN'T the elite.

  • I just recently bought the newer SOG seal pup, and am very happy with it.

  • my sog is razor sharp you can shave with it.

  • @diediemydarling13813 Is it the Elite? I was using the model previous to the Elite.

  • hey buddy dont be dissin the sog. u might want sharpen it stupid

  • @ThePaintrain7 Have you even tried the version of the SOG previous to the Elite? If not then shut your trap. You probably didn't even know there was a version before the Elite that had infterior steel. Look it up stupid.

  • Oh and also, if i had to choose a knife for camping/bushcraft i wouldnt take either of these. I would probably just take my Becker Bk2. Makes for a better chopping, can baton way better than either and would probably pry better. Unless you had a carbon V SRK (which arent in production anymore and are getting harder to find). Just bring a smaller back up knife for smaller chores. got my becker for 60 bucks on amazon, and 30 for my becker necker....all the 'knife' you'll ever need.

  • Both are great knives for their intended uses. Clearly, the SRK stands out here as a chopper, batoning knife. First it has better steel over this older version of the seal pup. Also for a survival bushcraft type knife, you'd want the full plain edge knife. All that said, the seal pup, is a good back up knife, deployment knife, or camp knife. Its light, can do many tasks etc. Dont give the reviewer such a hard time, he is being honest with his appraisal.

  • "Very dull" ... well sharpen it!

  • @michaelg2460 You honestly didn't think I sharpened it? Wow. You've got to be kidding me. As I stated over a HUNDRED times now THIS WAS THE VERSION BEFORE THE ELITE AND IT HAD SHITTY STEEL. Come on.

  • are you serious? the cold steal sucks at choping how did it win that test?

  • @1nemindgypsy They both suck at chopping wood but the srk sucks less than the sog in that arena.

  • sog seal pup good for killing

  • I can sharpen a pencil with my dick...this test doesnt prove anything

  • Oh and btw, maybe the pup didnt take an edge because you dont know how to sharpen knives or you wanted the srk to appear better? Come on, thats a lame excuse, a dull kitchen knife will take an edge.

  • Srk is very dull, it wont hold an edge and the handle is very uncomfortable. The seal pup holds an edge, very sharp and the handle is very comfortable. There. Thats my biased opinion against yours. You proved nothing dude, just call the video "i like the srk better". Last time i watch one of your reviews.

  • @PMChampagne8 That version of the Pup was crap and absolutely I can sharpen a knife. I can even make them. Besides, why would I lie about a knife? Trust me, I wanted the SOG to win too, but it just plain sucked. Like I said in the video, this is NOT the Pup Elite, it was the previous version. Do you understand what I'm talking about because this was already in the video?

  • @envirosponsible ok... I have never ever seen anyone do a review on the "SOG SEAL PUP" not the EILITE just the NORMAL one. And I have watched many reviews, roughly 20. I also own the exact same knife that you are reviewing. So what your saying is that many other reviewers plus myself that claim the knife to hold an excellent edge are lieing? If I can get it to hold an edge and many others can aswell, that leads me to believe you just suck at sharpening.

  • @PMChampagne8 I have never seen anyone do a review on that knife and say it doesnt hold an edge*****

  • @PMChampagne8 He's not saying you, or anyone else for that matter is lying. He's just stating the knife he used in the test is beginning to fail. He might have just received a bad knife. This isn't the first time i've seen a claim that a knife has lost it's ability to achieve, or maintain it's edge.

  • @PMChampagne8 I don't understand the first line of this comment. Do you understand that I was NOT using an Elite? Do you have one that IS NOT an Elite too?

  • @envirosponsible ok I never said that it was the Elite and yes you have made it very clear that you were not using the elite, still the pup should be able to take an edge I have tried shapening one and had great success in sharpening it.

  • As said previously, you cannot do a review on knives without them both being brand new.

  • @halo455ify You're not the boss of me.

  • I bought a SEAL Pup and it was shaving hairs off my hands. After abusing it on some concrete it still was sharp. my buddy skinned and quartered his elk and the blade was still razor sharp. And I have found it very easy to sharpen the SEAL Pup...maybe 'cause I sharpen so many broadheads for deer season?

  • @ilovetheops Which version did you buy? You probably bought the Elite. THIS KNIFE WAS NOT THE ELITE VERSION! I covered this in the video but it bears repetating. For this video I used the model of SEAL Pup before the Elite being sold now. Different design and I think different steel. Similar but different. Especially the metal. Of course I can sharpen knives and I can even make them. I have videos to prove it.

  • Does the Sog have a Full Tang? Also, this review is horrible Biased

  • @SPIKEwillKILL The SOG does have a full tang, yes. Listen, have you ever used the model of Pup before the version being sold now? Until you do you have no idea of how bad the steel was. It was unsharpenable. Why would I lie about that? Also I can sharpen a knife and can even make them. I have the videos to prove it on this channel.

  • ive had both and the srk is the better knife ...but ill tell you now the new aus srks are shit next to the old carbon 5 ones. i have both and if someone wants the aus one i will sell it to you without the sheath for 25 bucks . i just dont like it.

  • it looks as if the seal pup is dull and the srk is sharp but that wouldnt be fair at all and the steels are different if you bought the newer srk in aus 8 and the sog seal pup elite right out of the box it would be more equal

  • @BillySAw951 I'll say it once more-the Sog SEAL Pup would NOT take an edge.

  • you can't do a head-to-head review on 2 different knives, unless they're NEW. having used each of them previously under different conditions, creates far too many variables

  • @powerhousephg You're not the boss of me.

  • First, what happened to the SRK? The point on it looks like it's been dropped down and the grind on it is ugly, looks like someone took an industrial grinder to it. Second, what are you doing whereas you can't put an edge on an AUS-8 blade? What methods are you using to sharpen? If you say a grinder I will lose all respect for you right now.

  • @michaelpelletier10 That SEAL Pup (not the elite) WOULD NOT SHARPEN! Read that again, I'll wait. Probably the newer Elite models would take an edge and be a better match. However, I DID NOT use an elite. Now be nice and watch some videos. Or you could make videos. Any idiot can do that.

  • @envirosponsible the new seal pups and elite use aus 8 the newer ones. the old ones used aus 6 which are bad

  • @77dat OMG, what a relief to read that. DID YOU HEAR THAT EVERYONE? Why is that so hard for so many people?

  • I own both seal pup elite and srk in san mai. I WOULD CHOOSE SRK ALL DAY LONG OVER THE SEAL PUP elite. I would even choose the srk in san mai over the sog tech bowie. which i have as well. if sog made the tech bowie in san mai 3 steel that would be the best knife ever made. IMHO

  • @LUVMAGNUMGUNS2 Agreed.

  • it looks like you just need to sharpen your Seal Pup. Mine cuts great.

  • sharpen it dumb ass

  • @rileyjones666 Sigh. I did sharpen it genius but I'll say it again. THIS KNIFE WAS NOT THE ELITE VERSION! I covered this in the video. For this video I used the model of SEAL Pup before the Elite being sold now. Different design and I think different steel. Similar but different. Especially the metal. Of course I can sharpen knives and I can even make them. I have videos to prove it.

  • my seal pup elite would have beaten the SRK in every challenge except chopping. i can shave the hair of my face with the Seal pup ELITE. ITS THAT SHARP!

  • @LUVMAGNUMGUNS2 so can pretty much any stock blade

  • @TehWitZz NOT OFF THE FACE. maybe the arm. AND I TAKE MY PREVIOUS STATEMENT BACK. i just got a cold steel SRK in san mai 3 last week. IT is the best knife i ever bought. Its SCREAMING sharp. beautiful and it handles AWESOME.

  • @LUVMAGNUMGUNS2 i take my comment back that is ver impressive

  • @TehWitZz the SRK in san mai3 is the best knife you can get for hundred bucks period. i think its the best knife you can get.

  • In order to be fair. you should have had BOTH knives sharpened PROFESSIONALLY before you put them head to head

  • i have the SOG seal pup ands it sharper that SRK

  • @death13329 The srk in san mai 3 is the sharpest knife you will ever buy. i am so impressed with this knife. I put it over sog tech bowie , sog seal pup elite, ak47, kabar, and the recon tanto. THE SAN MAI 3 STEEL DELIVERS GUYS YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED. the blade shape and geometry is perfect. the feel is perfect. and the blade is WAY sharper than any blade i have ever bought out of the box. and all of the previously mentioned i could shave hair with. The SRK in san mai is in a class of its own

  • @death13329 Which model do you have? This video featured the model before the Elite and was different steel.

  • Despite all the negative comments, I thought that was a good video. Very eloquent, very well explained, and good tests and demos. Unfortunately, I already have the seal pup :( It's not my camping knife though, I use a Buck 119 Special... Not much of a "survival" knife that you can abuse, but it has never failed me.

  • the sog is a small light knife so it was nver goin to win the chop test? duh

  • The SRK is a lille more than two inches longer, so you can chop with it... and the Seal Pup was designed for more marine uses, so the AUS-6 stands up better to salt water and the impending corrosion. Not really a good pair to put head to head...

  • @robecolwell I think it was a great pair to put head to head since at one point these two knives were in the list of most popular survival knives. I agree that the Pup wasn't designed for bushcraft though.

  • ok u cant compare knives if one is way sharper. u should have made them both sharp enough to cut paper easily and then started those test. and u should ceep the serration's on the seal pup sharper and the serrations are much better than a straight edge.

  • Sharpen both knives before the test, what a douche.

  • @envirosponsible

its obvious you fancy cold steel, so your trying to make the sog look like trash by not sharpening it. if it had a properly maintained edge, any sog will rape cold steel. ladies and gentlemen, if you want a knife that will hack through a tree as thick as a grown mans leg in 20 swipes, or want to have an edge in a combat situation, no bs, go sog seal team elite. ps. the SRK, (6") is 1.5 in. longer, so it has more cutting edge. compare an equally large sog and c who wins then

  • the sog knife is not meant for any survival at all. purely for modern combat, navy seals even use the larger version of this knife

  • @vectorponder Agreed. It was and remains to be used by many survivalists though.

  • SOG knife is very good for divers :)

  • protip: sharpen your fucking knife if your gonna do a comparison. your fucking up the variables

  • @justyoustupid I guess I used too many words in the video for you to understand. I hope you can at least read. I DID SHARPEN THE KNIFE! I'm fully capable of sharpening a knife and can even make them. I have videos to prove it. I covered this in the video. How did you miss that? Of course I would sharpen both knives, are you serious? You think I would put all this effort into making a video and not sharpen the knives? Are you kidding me?

  • Cant' compare 2 knives that are both used that have a crappy edge sharpened by you or someone else.

  • the hollow grind is a shorter span on the sog than srk .the angle is steeper from the edge to middle or high piont of the blade on the sog .its like the diffrance between a chisel and a thin bladed knife

  • @MrDaleaaaa They were however both on the top 10 or 20 survival knives purchased and talked about when these models were released.

  • If you choke down on the seal pup handle, you get choppin power

  • I don't feel that this is a fair test for the SOG. It wasn't sharpened as compared to the SRK. Also, who batons pressure treated wood? I do like the way this review was conducted though, could be very informative if the playing field is truly even at the start.

  • @chrhem1234 It was sharpened as sharp as it would get. And I know how to sharpen knives and can even make them. I have videos to prove it. This SEAL Pup model (model before the Elite) WOULD NOT take an edge.

  • LOL. Your knives are dull as hell. Sharpen them good and then beat the shit out of the blade. Then show us whats left of the edge and tip.

  • @cvrivcharles Are you kidding? You think I would go through all the effort of making this video and not sharpen the knives? Come on. Of course I would, and of course I can sharpen a knife. I can even make them and have the videos to prove it.

  • Both good knives, but this is clearly not an accurate test. When i first got my seal pup, it was capable of cutting cleanly through a packet. Like all knives they will become dull. You need to sharpen them, Your friends clearly dont know how to properly sharpen a knife. You can't test an unsharpened knife against a sparpened one. for a more accurate test you should have tested both knives while they were brand new. That way we know that neither have wear and tear.

  • guys a question, does the latest vertion of the seal pup come with a nylon molle sheath?

  • Bullshit, the SEAL Pup that rode in my AIRSAVE II when I flew in an F/A-18 slip hairs, if you can't get an edge on it, its your fault, not the knife's

  • @TomcatAL200 don't be little bitch

    .

the SRK is the superior knife.

    .

just because you made love to it while riding in F/A -18 doesn't mean shit out in the wild.

  • good video and i would go with the SRK mainly for dependability thickness and blade steel i agree that the aus-6 is hard to sharpen where as carbon v or aus-8 a easier though the seal pup and seal pup elite are designed for tactial use for the navy seals hence the name and the srk is more for survival and rescue again hence the name

  • hey i'm way more into folders, but i am trying out fixed blades, any pointers before i spend money? thanks

  • I own the SRK with the newer seath.Problem is,that the seath doesn't have the cold steel markings as yours did.Thre knife markings are:SRK on one side, cold steel carbon v made in usa on the other.Bought it in 2004 from an army PX.

Do you think it's not the original one? Thanks.

  • The ka-bar is still my favorite but i still might get a sog seal pup w/ tiger stripe

  • Might just be me but I like the SOG the best.

  • I'm no expert but i would say that this test was mildly biast

  • Sharp vs. Dull? Obviously the SRK won! Good tests though. Just sharpen them both next time.

  • i have used my sog to cut up a handful of deer elk and antelope and am glad the blade isn't any bigger. its just about right and since this is where my knives get most of their work, i couldn't be happier, i guess i dont use my knives to chop 2x4's on youtube videos and if that was all that i did with my knives i would just get out the hatchet.

  • I think you should sharpen both knives identically the same. Good review though.

  • Aus 6 for a survival knife?? How pitiful!

  • Why not sharpen the plade.

  • You are just comparing a dull knife to a sharp knife...sharp them both and then do the test...

  • Another outstanding review!

  • your knives were dull

  • @envirospondible whrere can you trade knives ?

  • The SOG is stupendous when used for its intended purpose, but unless your name is Jeffrey Dahmer, you won't be needing a knife for those purposes. Combat knives are not survival knives and should never be used as such.

  • @anfiach i highly disagree if your john wayne gacy you'll need a good knife.

going to survival purposes, a combat knife is most certain to be a a survival knife

  • what knife are you using now?

  • I would like to see a video of you sharpening if you dont mind. I usually use a stone... i have no idea of what the grit level is but it seams to work fine. If you dont mind i would also like to know how you reccomend sharpening the cold steel srk. Thankyou for reading and responding to my comment

  • Nice Vid. Thanks. So did u ever do the test of the SRK AUS8 vs Seal Pup Eite AUS8? It's such a tough call between the 2. I have the SRK because I don't want the shock through the handle while battoning but I think it's a bit too big and i don't like the sheath as the knive shakes inside. but what a blade. also I'd like if they made in plain finishing vs titanium coating. I like reflective qualities for signaling, looking for it in the dark and if it falls in a river or something.

  • u just eanrnd a subscriber bud ^^

  • Cold steel all the way

  • I agree with enviro's conclusion. I also own both of these knives and the SRK outperforms the SOG in every category except weight and corrosion resistance. I have decided to make the SRK my primary camp/hike/bush knife and the SOG is only used for fishing. Thanks for this great review.

  • I like your reviews very much. Not all pompous sounding like that Fancy fairy guy.

  • Try sharpening both of the knifes so that it is actually fair

  • Try sharpening both of the knife so that it is actually fair

  • I believe that the seal pup would out do the srk if you sharpened it

  • the pup has no chopping capibilities because it wasnt made for chopping

  • you just don't know how to sharpen a knife.

  • are you using sound effects bat all or a bad mic? because when you chopped the wood and sliced the paper it sounded very strange.

  • If you spent a couple extra bucks you could have gotten the Seal Pup Elite with Aus8 steel and a straight edge. Good review nonetheless.

  • Seems like you pitted a sharp knife against a blunt one. Not a scientist but I can clearly see that the Seal Pup needs to be sharpened but have no idea how you achieve that with serations.

  • @NiceHeadMr You're right about the SEAL Pup needing to be sharpened. The problem is that I tried and tried to sharpen it, but this aus-6 steel is inferior and will NOT take an edge. That was the crux of findings.

  • @envirosponsible i think sog has a thing where for ten bucks you send your knife back to them and they sharpen back to factory edge

  • @envirosponsible I can shave with the edge on my seal pup....and I don't mean a patch of hair. I mean I can shave my fur covered legs as smooth as silk without moisture.

  • @envirosponsible I respectfully disagree. Having a professional reprofile the edge will enable you to put a razor edge on it. I'm an SRK fan, and I have one and I love it. But I believe that any knife that has been professionally profiled will take a great edge.

  • @envirosponsible the seal pup gets an edge no problem and chopping with a knife is dangerous and will often damage the blade. the seal pup can also last for fairly long periods of time in salt water and not rust. i feel this was not done by someone with an unbiased opinion on both knives

  • @envirosponsible Gee, I don't know...my Pup came VERY sharp out of the box and even my poor sharpening skills got it back close to that factory edge...I understand AUS-6 is not known for it's edge retention, but...

  • wats the difference from aus-8, aus-6, high carbon, cro-van?

  • ever think about a KA-Bar i think you aren't really giveing the credit due to the SOG seal pup the test you did proved something but the SOG is really meant for killing or cutting skin. i agree with you on the Cold Steel is better for the test you did but for the SOG sake you shuld get a squirrel or rabbit or some thing for a field dressing test

  • ever think about a KA-Bar

  • I like your vids man, but I have to agree with some of the others, you basically pitted a sharp knife vs. one that was in serious need of a sharping. I have both of these fantastic knives(among many others) and I don't have a preference eithe'r way...I can say that I've never had an issue getting the Seal pup to take a razor's edge and keep it...

  • 80$ pencil sharpener ;)

  • You do realize that the SRK i obviously way sharper.

  • I really dont get it. One knife was sharpener than the other. So what, sharpen it.

  • @neutrotoxin The blade isn't very good for sharpening. It just isn't right

  • @neutrotoxin

I agree. The only thing i don't like about the Sog is the serrations. I like both knives. I think the Sog is a better as a stabbing tool. But the Cold Steel as a better survival knife.

  • @neutrotoxin He said it himself at the end. He couldent sharpen it. That makes it a loss in itself.

  • I really dont get it. One knife was sharper than the oter. So what? Sharpen it.

  • the seal pup elite has deeper finger grooves for improved ergonomics. i stay away from serrations as well. my problem with this review is that if both knives had been adequatly sharpened the tests would have been accurate as opposed to one dull knife vs one that is sharp. i tend to stay away from responding to videos but this was unacceptable to me. all things considered, thanks for the reviews.

  • Have you done the test between the Seal Pup Elite and the newer version of SRK? If not, looking forward to it.

  • These 2 knives have been abused before this test was performed... the edge is different on both from when they came out of the box... the high level of possibility for the blades to have been used differently, and soforth being worn differently, makes this test inaccurate.

I still think the SRK is better than the SOG though, I strongly dislike serrations, and I don't like the "waves" on the back of the SOG blade as far as the cosmetics go, never tested the knifes myself so not 100% sure though.

  • all your tests could be changed on how sharp u got ur blade

  • its very obvious you have no sharpening ability. you have sharpened the srk for these tests more so than the sog. your tests have nothing to do with survivability unless your trying to survive are class. i've had the pup for three years now. its cleaned many big game animals including two alaskan moose without sharpening. your review has nothing to do with survivability, only the fact you prefer one knife over the other and kept it sharper for this review.

  • @JitneyownR At the end he said at around 5:30 that he has and his friends have tried to sharpen the SOG it it never really took a good edge. If he can't put an edge on the knife then it probably isn't the best choice (at least for him and anyone that can't put a good edge on it) as a survival knife. I do agree that this video would have been better served if each knife had the same sharpness but this does show the benefits of knowing how to sharpen a knife and having a sharp knife.

  • Sharpen that shit.

  • Don't let his review ( which was well made) discourage you from getting a seal pup. They are great knives, and the elites are even better. Thanks for posting this video.

  • I have a SRK, very happy with the knife!

  • I have 5 brand new in the box cold steel carbon V SRK's I got on ebay a few years ago. :) I also have 4 recon tanto's, a kobun and 3 UWK's all brand new unused... I wish I woulda gotten a couple of recon scouts.

  • Dude, this is total b.s. I have an older seal pup, used it many, many times, and it is FLAWLESS, and came sharp as a razor, and has kept that edge

  • That wool blanket must be worth $119.00 lol.

  • Good tests, but just to remind you, the SOG wasn't built or designed specifically for survival, however it was designed for fighting and tactical reasons. I have talked to my step-brother, who is a Marine Scout Sniper, and says that they are extremely good tactical knives, even though he, himself prefers a Ka-Bar. Anything extra with the SOG is a bonus.

  • why you compare dull knife to sharpen knife ???????

  • All in all a good review, but i would like to add something, Navy Seals knife contract is SOG, Meaning SOG make there knives. Been looking into it for a while, and iv been looking into becoming a navy seal myself. Both good knives but in an actual survival situation SOG would beat the Cold Steel. SOG might need more sharpening, but you can fix that in survival situation. Rust, you cant. Sorry i couldn't fit this in last comment.

  • "Which is the best survival knife?" SOG wins in terms of survival. you said the Cold Steel you have to keep it oiled, well in a survival situation your not gonna have that oil, you might end up wit a piece of rust with the Cold Steal. When in a survival situation, it can go from 1 day to maybe the rest of your life. You can sharpen them both on rocks and stuff, it wouldn't be fun to do, so there even with sharpness last in survival situation. But you need a knife to last. Rust isn't lasting.

  • good review. i know that sog is a better knife than that. sog and cold steel are both great brands. but i know sog stands right beside a cold steel knife any day. and they r easy to sharpen. but thanks for the review. makes me think alot about my next purchase

  • well of course the $120 kinfe will be better than the $75 one. You get what you pay for.

  • you need to sharpen your sog dude... yeah i can tell you like your srk better but i mean still give the sog a break. iv got both knives and personaly im more impressed with my seal pup.

  • oops ran out of space in my previous comment. So, based on that description below- would you still recommend the SRK?

  • Glad i watched this. Dont think i'll be getting a Seal pup anymore. I was looking for a general light duty knife to go with my Ka-bar heavy bowie - for long hikes. Any suggestions?

  • @john22112 The SRK is treating me right. The SOG Pup Elite might be better, though I would stay away from serrations. Thanks for commenting.

  • @envirosponsible the carbon v or aus8 steel? Ive been contemplating getting one of these SRKs for a while now. My only drawback is is that I see this steel being higher maintenance and, but espec. in a survival situation, who would have oil right? I like the capabilities of the SRK, seems to be a pretty tough knife.

Im looking for 4-6" knife thats low maintenance, can take a real beating and has a nice full-tang. (mainly for making kindling, splitting small logs, cutting materials, traps etc

  • @john22112 get an esee knife they are splendid!

  • after reviewing all the other knife reviewers, I have decided without hesitation that this guy is one of my favorites. His review and opinions is straight and to the point. The other knife reviewers babble on and on endlessly compromising the productivity of their video.

  • scorpiansurvival is a great website for campers, and survivalists alike, they havethe sog seal pup elite with a kydex sheath a black blade finish and a zytel handle all for $82 and i have a code to get 10% off any whitch is: M40

  • Is that the factory edge or did you sharpen them exactly the same?

  • Your review is awful, the SOG knife obviously has an inferior edge on it, I have an AUS-8 SOG Seal Team Elite and it sharpens easily because I'm not retarded and know how to use an oil whetstone. I just sharpened a 2 dollar walmart filet knife and cut through trash more easily than you did with your SRK. Before you make a review and try to influence other's opinions, make sure your knives are at their best at the beginning of your review.

  • man that old srk was fugly, huh?

  • Check out the Gov Tac lots of value for you dollar there. Everything about it is great except it didnt come as sharp as I like my knives but it was easy to sharpen so no big deal I guess.

  • what kind of sharpener do you use and carry with your sogseal?

I dont find any kind of speed sharpener that works and dont make my knife to a spoon. :/

  • nice vids

  • pshh sog seal is better. that one was just dull so its unfair. besides it looks awesome

  • @FlamingFury5 Fair enough. Thanks for weighing in.

  • I own the newer AUS-8 SRK. I just got back from batoning some dead wood near my house and I am impressed that the knife still held up. The finish is starting to come off though.

I wish they made the SRK in SK-5. Meh, Cold steel's True Flight Thrower looks like an inexpensive version of the SRK.

  • U must be an american!

  • @voutstg Nope. Canadian.

  • Comparison of an axe with a swiss army knife. Or a katana with a swiss army knife. I wonder who might win!!!!!!! A true comparison would be sog tac against srk. Sog seal pup is much smaller.

  • @voutstg True.

  • Did thebeastlybeast1 ever make his video? It's been over 3 weeks.
