@khairuleven in ITF rules there is punches in the face..there is soo many people who have no clue how to do a taekwondo punch. its proven on fight scince that its the second best punch in martial art..and proved on fight science that taekwondo have the fastest and strongest kicks.

tkd ,karate and other m.arts have to make a promise to oneself to train the competition technique equal with the illegal technique.why most practitioners became weak is because most people who enter are sportsman,and only train the legal technique.it is the real martial arts student that has decreased.as an impact most traditional m.art club has decreased its rule so the martial art name will survive.

@illman300 I started about six months ago, and I just turned 49 years old last month. What I wouldn't give to be able to go back and start 33 years ago. You're 16, you'd be a black belt probably before you're 20. I envy you the opportunity you have. Also, with all that you already know you may not have to "start over".

@tacos50000 I hate people who quit once they get black belts. But that's no reason to condemn the entire sport and martial art for it. The sport aspect of Taekwondo really is a branch of the martial art itself. Same goes for any martial art. There are so many other black belts who never quit training and are just purely passionate about it, including myself.

@ BeakaySD Fool TKD came from Korea, now yes a little of their moves came from other arts but it is still as deadly. I've seen karate, muy tai, caporita, judo, kick boxing, boxing, jujstu and Kung Fu masters and specialist be defeated by people those and myself who study under TKD. Ultimately there are no martial arts that is better then any others, their all equal.

Karate uses generally only punches in overall part.

TKD is a matial art that balances Kicking and Punches ...... and flying kicks.!

TKD is a kind of latest form of many martial arts. Aim of karate is killing, Aim of

Kickboxing is killing... so people (who want to fight berrer) learns those kind of fighting technics. But TaeKwonDo is a Martial Art for Mental Discipline.
