Hey there. I think they are usually priced a little higher than a mandolin simply because bigger = more wood and labor. It's only few hundred dollars difference though, so this retails around $1800 or so. The 815 mandolin retails $1600, I think.
Nice! Looks and sounds yummy. I have a 1912 H1 that I really like to play -- its a great change of pace from the mandolin. As to tunes to play I like to play G and C tunes on the mandola as they are easier for me to sing along with. Great vid!
I am looking into starting to play and I was wondering if you could link me to a good sounding one for a beginner mandola? Thanks.
